**Road trip to San Remigio (Northern Cebu)**

A teacher’s life is not easy. A lot of paper works to do especially at the end of the school year. Many teachers are struggling a lot in preparing the teachers' portfolios, forms, and many things that need to comply. It is hard but teachers need to sacrifice. As a teacher, I'd love to go to places where I can relax my mind.

To get away from the stressors, my husband and I went to San Remigio (Northern Cebu) last weekend on Saturday because he was going to have an antigen test for the requirement at work and do sightseeing in nature along our way there. We used our motorcycle, and my husband was the driver. Then, we got the result after 30 minutes. Afterward, we went to San Remigio Lapyahan Beach Resort. It took a few minutes to ride from the clinic to the beach. We go there and just do sightseeing with the place.

***San Juan Nepomuceno Church, San Remigio***

This is the church as your landmark to San Remigio Lapyahan Beach Resort. The church is in Poblacion, San Remigio, Cebu, Philippines. It is seen on the left side going to Hagnaya. It is an old church. It is one of the best churches for a wedding. The design is unique. By the way, you can stop there and you can even walk going to Lapyahan. Beside the church, there is a narrow road where you can go straight. There, you can see the beach. If you’re looking for a private resort that is not so crowded that you can relax comfortably. 

Then, there are many resorts next to Lapyahan that you can enjoy privately. You can even use the bathroom after swimming. There are big cottages as well. But in Lapyahan, there are cottages but not the same as in private resort that is safe for bad people especially those who are drunk already. In Lapyahan Resort, people can go in or out anytime there.

***San Remigio Lapyahan***

As far as I heard, there’s no entrance fee in Lapyahan because it is open to the public. Everyone is free to go there and have a fun time with their family, friends, relatives, and others. It is a public beach resort that has many cottages which are affordable mostly for everyone. This place has white sand. Many people loved this place because not just of having white sand but also because the sunset is perfectly stunning. 

Some of the people are doing overnight because they wanted to capture the sunset views. They take pictures with different poses, some are having jumping shots with the sunset, and others loved to go back to this place because they can bring their food, drinks, a tent, and others. This beach is safe for kids because it’s not so deep beside the seashore. It is wide and can occupy a lot of tourists. This resort is surrounded by food stores. There is a music band that can entertain them. This resort is easy to access because it is along the highway. You can even ride a bus.

***Simple food***

I bought hanging rice, fried chicken, ngohiong (lumpia with veggies inside), and fish balls. It is cheap. By the way, I only eat at this time because my husband has a toothache. He has no appetite because of too much pain. Maybe because of weather is so hot. We even got sunburn on our faces. We forgot to wear sunscreen protection. Anyway, it is necessary to wear because the weather is so hot, especially between 10 A.M to 2 P.M. It is not safe for our skin. We may even get skin cancer. It is better to wear sunscreen all the time when you go outside.

Here is the view of Lapyahan Beach. It is white sand. You can bring your loved ones here and eat together with your favorite food. This place is scenery because the lights are vibrant. It is recommended to wait because you will never regret if you can witness the magnificent view of the sunset. This place is best to have photography on your prenuptial. I am pretty sure your photographer can capture panoramic or it could be stunning photos here. I believe that there are great memories that already happen in this place that could never be forgotten.

**The Sunset in San Remigio Beach Resort**

That is the sample view of the sunset there in San Remigio Resort or any resort next to Lapyahan. At that time it was low tide, and the water there is far from the seashore. It is better to swim there during high tide. Anyway, that was me way back in 2019. I went there with my classmates in high school. However, a few of my classmates went there because it was a conflict with their work. One of our teachers joined us there too. It was fun because we shared our funny moments even though it is a little bit embarrassing for us. All the memories in high school will always be remembered when there’s a reunion. That's why I loved to join the event. 

During that time, we had our lunch there because each of us brought food. Then we talked a lot. Then, we swam together. When the sunset arrived, we took pictures. We even had our jump shots with the sunset. It was fun because we tried many times to make it a perfect capture. But we did it for the best shots. However, I lost those pictures. I couldn't show it here. It is only myself that I found in my gallery. 

***How to get there?***

If you come from Cebu City, you will go to North Terminal Near SM Cebu. Then, find a Ceres bus going to Hagnaya, You can even ask help from the bus staff to stop over at your destination in Lapyahan Resort in San Remigio. The church is your landmark. It takes 3 to 5 hours to travel there. The fare of the bus is very affordable, especially the non-aircon. However, I recommend everyone to ride an aircon bus because the place is far. So you need to relax while traveling to the North in San Remigio Lapyahan. Always, remind the bus staff (who give tickets on the bus) where you stop because they will help you to your destination.
