It was exactly two years since the incident. Just like an echo in her head, Tee couldn't forget it no matter how hard she tried. It was her birthday and she wanted to try something different from the regular clubbing with friends; she had decided to take herself on a fancy date and just chill alone. "Why did I even think of it"? she asked herself.


The day was going well for her. Her friend, Dami was the one who woke her up with a call and since then she had received more calls and messages than she had hoped to get. Tee had gracefully turned down people who offered to take her out that evening. Hours later, she was on her way to a restaurant she had never been to. The place was smaller than it seemed from outside but was beautifully set. She took a sit backing the entrace and ordered for wine because she wasn't ready to eat just yet. She thought about her life. Things were going on well for her, she thought about her friends and her work and one thing led to other thoughts she lost track of time. She was jolted back to reality by the voice of a woman screaming... "I warned you to stay away from my husband". She didn't turn just yet but the ranting grew louder and closely to her and just as she was about to turn.... BOOM. 


It happened. She could feel her face lighting up like it was on fire. She screamed. Took alil time before the ranting woman could speak. "OMG am so sorry". Tee was taken to the hospital. When she got out of surgery she was told how the woman had mistaken her for another lady and poured acid on her to keep her away from her husband. All that didnt matter to Tee.
