The powerful earthquake that struck Myanmar on Friday, March 28, 2025 caused extensive damage and loss of life in several cities, including Sagaing, where I live. As all my friends probably know, the earthquake, which measured 7.7 on the Richter scale, also caused power outages. At this time, there was nothing to worship except the Buddha. So, I lit a candle in front of the pagoda to worship the Buddha. The light from the candle cast shadows of the flowers on the wall. So I took a photo.

> ၂၀၂၅ ခု၊ မတ် လ (၂၈)ရက်‌သောကြာ‌နေ့က မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှာ လှုပ်ခဲ့တဲ့ အင်အားပြင်းငလျင်ကြောင့် ကျွန်တော်နေထိုင်ရာ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့အပါအဝင် မြို့အနည်းငယ်မှာ ပျက်စီးဆုံးရှုံးမှုတွေ လူသေဆုံးမှုတွေ များပြားခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ ဒါကိုလည်း မိတ်ဆွေတွေအားလုံးသိပြီးသားဖြစ်ပါလိမ့်မယ်။ ရစ်ခ်ျတာစကေး ၇.၇ ပြင်းအားရှိခဲ့တဲ့ ငလျင်ကြီးကြောင့် လျှပ်စစ်မီးများလည်း ပြတ်တောက်နေခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဒီလိုအချိန်မှာ ဘုရားမှတပါးကိုးကွယ်စရာမရှိပါဘူး။ ဒါကြောင့်လည်း ဘုရားစင်ရှေ့မှာ ဘုရားကန်တော့ဖို့ ဖယောင်းတိုင်ကို မီးထွန်းညှိထားတယ်။ မီးထွန်းညှိထားတဲ့ဖယောင်းတိုင်မီးရဲ့အလင်းရောင်ကြောင့် ဘုရားကိုဆက်ကပ်လှူဒါန်းထားတဲ့ ပန်းတွေရဲ့အရိပ်က နံရံပေါ်မှာ မြင်နေရပါတယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်ယူလိုက်ပါတယ်။
