The study was done with a kind of African rat that, like us, is diurnal. During four weeks the rats were exposed to dim and bright light. Those exposed to dim light lost 30% of a zone of the brain related to memory and learning, but there are good news, the rats exposed to the dim light were given a month of rest, after that, they were exposed to bright light for four weeks and they completely recovered their brain capacity
