# INTRODUCTION




The art of buying and selling is as old as mankind; it involves the exchange of goods with a  value in order to get something of value in return. In the olden days, it was called trade by batter (goods for goods) but today one can exchange goods for money.



Money is the life wire of all modern transactions, within the country or at an international level. It is the medium of exchange of commodities.
The factors that determine the method of payment differ between geographical area, time and person. It may include:

•    The total amount of money involved to pay for the goods/services
•    The cost of the means of payment.
•    The urgency of payment.
•    The type of account kept by the merchant.
•    The safety of the transaction.
•    The distance between the payer and the receiver.

The traditional mode of payment is gradually getting outlandish with the birth of the blockchain which makes it convenient to send information of value over the internet and to also carry out smart contracts. 

This payment upgrade would not be compatible with the traditional mode of payment( The legal tender, Bank payment, post office etc.) You can imagine that Not all stores eventually get to adopt the POS machines which were believed to ease out business transactions.

With the gradual adoption of blockchain technology, there has been a proliferation of so many crypto wallets to store tokens. A few years back, I was opportune to learn about the blockchain and I was very excited when I discovered that could be in custody of my investment within the grasp of my hands. My excitement started waning when I found out that I paid heavily to effect transactions to others. I am pretty sure many other people faced similar challenges back then.   

My smiles are back again as I just discovered that I shall not be paying much fees to make transactions if I decide to use the GRAFT blockchain.

# WHAT IS GRAFT

There is no need allowing your mind to wander far. GRAFT is simply an acronym for Global Real-time Authorization and Funds Transfer. It is a decentralized global open platform designed to process and authorize transactions made by merchants using a cryptographic decentralized API which supports myriads of cryptocurrencies, tokens, traditional credit cards and even bank transfers.
Wow… this is simply amazing. (Sounds like a jack of all trade?)  Never say never…!!!!.


A few months back (sept 22, 2017 precisely ), GRAFT finished their ICO and they already have their Mainnet running with good feedbacks.
How do you think they could achieve such a great feat?  GRAFT has a constantly running supernode that process real-time transactions between merchants, buyers and third parties with a merchants point of sale (proxy super-node).

A transaction between a customer and a merchant is completed in a few seconds (equivalent to REAL TIME)  leaving everybody happy at the end of the day when both parties possess a GRAFT WALLET.  
GRAFT has a token reward for the merchants to act as an incentive when a successful transaction is completed over the GRAFT ecosystem.

Another interesting feature about the GRAFT BLOCKCHAIN is that the payer enjoys zero transaction fees, a payer can decide to make a small purchase and not bother about paying extra fees.With a mobile device, and anybody can access the GRAFT BLOCKCHAIN and carry out simple transactions.



There is this saying that a customer is always right, a customer (buyer) is the boss who chooses whatsoever means convenient for him to pay for the services he requires.  GRAFT provides this buyer with excellent payment options for these services.

**Convenience** – the buyer can choose whatever currency best suits him to pay for the services rendered.

**It eliminates time wastage**:  It is a truth that nobody likes time wastage, the instant authorization is a plus for the buyer and the merchant.

**SECURITY**- the GRAFT ecosystem would make transactions safe and secure making it easy to make a huge transaction with a high percentage of trust between both parties.

**Zero Transaction Fees**- Nobody likes to pay extra charges to purchase anything, GRAFT  respects that view.

**INTER-OPERABILITY**- There is also an option of transfer of funds between different wallets on the GRAFT blockchain 


### USE CASE.


>Mr. A is a top class businessman who travels around the world weekly to meet with partners, on his recent trip to Paris; he notices that his luggage was missing. This luggage happens to contain some important banking documents he needs to use to make a transaction in Paris. He is at a crossroad because he needs to meet this merchant in the next 45 mins to effect the transaction and he wouldn’t like to be seen as not trustworthy.
As he was raking his brain, he went down the memory lane and remembered that he could transfer the same equivalent in cryptocurrency, so he puts a call across to Merchant X. to inquire if he could make a transfer in bitcoin. .. ‘Oh yes. Replied merchant X over the phone. with GRAFT that should even make it better, he said’

# CONCLUSION
Change is a constant, Adapting to change takes time. With the advances in technology, previously adopted POS would be replaced with crypto- enabled POS machines all thanks to GRAFT for blazing the trail. 

The scalability challenges faced by many uprising blockchains has already been put in check on the GRAFT blockchain. There is also a room for identity proofing to ensure that nobody is scammed while using graft to authenticate and authorize the transaction.
GRAFT has also put in place a working customer support and dispute resolution service because they value your feedback.
