Golden Hour is the first and last hour of sunlight during the day. The light is softer, warmer and longer shadows.

In landscape photography because of its lower contrast during gold hours, the warm colors of the sun enhance the color of the landscape. The shape and texture are highlighted and the shadow does not look dark.

Golden Hour happens twice every day. During the first hour of sunlight during the day and the last hour of sunlight. Knowing when gold will happen is not easy.
