#### Introduction

I have made several promotions for open source projects in the past through a Facebook page created and managed by my Facebook account named Daniel Anya.  VLC is an excellent media player and streaming platform that has already won the hearts of most. I chose to promote it in order to get more people to know about it and eventually use it.

#### Audience

The audience targeted included people between the ages of 18 and over 65 of both genders. These people included Students, workers and people with interests in cryptocurrencies. Major cities were selected in order to give the promotion a better reach.

#### Activity

On my Facebook page named **"Steemit Aces"** I made a post which not only describes VLC Media Player, but encourages the audience to sign up. A link was left at the end of the post for more information and registration. The post was promoted for a total of  8 days. It started on 22/02/2018 and will end on 01/03/2018. A total of $19 was spent on this promotion.

The results of my promotion include a reach of over 5050 people of which over 2700 reacted to the post. Details are shown below.
