Ball Lightning?

This is one of my most memorable lightning shots for sure. If you look close you can kinda see where the lightning separates a bit at the very end of the bolt where it's hitting the mountain.. And.. A scientist looked at this picture and said he believed it was indeed an example of ball lightning.

I don't necessarily agree with that and I think there may be another explanation, but.. I'm open minded.. And it was the brightest lightning bolt I had ever personally seen.. It literally blinded me for like 10 seconds.. Pretty intense stuff.

As far as I know there are no "for sure" photographed examples of ball lightning though there are a few floating around the internet that might be. So.. It's pretty cool to at least say that I might have caught such a rare thing on film. :) Who knows if that's what it was or not.. Cool to think about though!

I've also filmed some other pretty amazing things, including a daytime meteor/UFO, but that's another story for another time. :)
