Greetings Steemit - a friend, @craigcryptoking introduced me!
Steeming into the scene, and onto places never been

This is my first post, just a small introduction. I’ve been sort of caught off guard by @craigcryptoking, by him tagging/nominating me in a photo contest before I actually introduced myself, so apologies for this being a bit of a rush-job.

My real name I would rather keep secret, since my current employer have a real big stick up it’s ass when it comes to social media policies.

I live in South africa, that sterling example of the failure of modern “progressivism”, socialism, and “multiculturalism”. I’m 40 years old, married to a lovely wife, and we recently had our first child, a beautiful baby girl (trigger warning - yes, we’re gendering TF out of her.)

I don’t know how I’m going to raise her in this mad country yet, but one thing I have been good at my entire life, is finding ways to make things work, and solving problems. So even though it currently feels like I have no f@cking clue what I’m doing, I’m sure it will turn out fine in the end, stressful as it is.

I speak Afrikaans as first language, and obviously, also english..

I have a BA degree in Human movement sciences, which, for those who don’t know what that means, gave me a healthy helping of both the humanities, and natural sciences, and included subjects like human physiology, anatomy, biokinetics, biomechanics, research methodology and nutrition on the science side, and psychology, sociology, philosophy and sport psychology as well as various coaching qualifications in various sports on the humanities side, as this was geared to be a pre-graduate degree for biokenetics/sport science honors degrees. I started honors in sports science, but never completed it because of various personal and family related issues, and decided to make a career change. I was left completely disillusioned with the tertiary education system after leaving university. I moved on to entrepreneurship and ran a small business for several years, and then, also being an aspiring musician, made another career change into sound engineering, which ultimately led me into the television industry - a challenging place to work if you have any morals/principles, but I enjoy the creative aspect of it, and making things that are totally unfit for broadcast, into something great.

Even though I work in the television industry, I don’t own a tv. I spend my free time on more productive things; I like to read about politics, world events, finance and economics, and science, and when I do watch stuff online, it will be documentaries on one of the above, or nature and animals. Both me and my wife are avid animal lovers, and I have bred several endangered species of reptiles, mainly snakes, as well as birds. So between that and raising a child and a full time job in post production, not much time for Game of Thrones.

One of the topics I have spent several years researching and writing about, is the issue of UN Agenda 21, a.k.a. “Sustainable development”, and I will probably post a lot about that here, since I feel it is critical that people understand what it really means in their lives - something that I can truly say, is not currently the case for the vast majority of people. There will also be other posts, don’t worry 😎

I have a very dry sense of humor that is not everybody’s cup of tea, and tend toward the sarcastic side - often mistaken for anger, while I’m actually lmao in reality.

I enjoy playing most sports, not so much watching most of it.
When it comes to music, I tend heavily towards the rock/metal side of things..
Movies - I like to laugh, but also enjoy good sci-fi or action movies. Not much of a horror fan.
Favorite documentaries would include The hidden secrets of money series by Mike Maloney, Vaxxed, which I think all first time parents should watch, and the Planet Earth series.

I think that’s about it in a nutshell..

Here’s hoping for a pleasurable Steemit experience, and I hope I can contribute some value to the community, and learn from it as well.
Thanks again @craigcryptoking for introducing me.
