# PIMP and PWR: Two of My Top 3 Tokens on Hive-Engine

After several years of being active on [Hive](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive), I’m finally starting to see some results—not just in terms of my [HP](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-power-hp), which continues to grow daily and is bringing me closer to 13,000 HP, but also with layer-2 [tokens](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token), i.e., tokens available on Hive Engine (*which is Hive’s [layer](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-layer-insurance) 2*) that often come with interesting features, such as SPS, the [governance](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-governance) token of [Splinterlands](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splinterglossary), or [LEO](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo), the cornerstone of the [InLeo](https://inleo.io/) [ecosystem](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem-digital).


Some time ago, I talked about the [BRO and THGAMING tokens](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-bro-and-thgaming-targets-achieved-5j5), and today, I’d like to introduce two more:


- **PIMP**, created by @enginewitty, and one of the tokens I’ve held the longest;
- **PWR**, created by @empoderat, which I’ve already discussed in [this post](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-becoming-a-liquidity-provider-in-the-swaphivepwr-pool-hive-power-ventures-gwx) and [this one](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-betting-big-on-the-swaphivepwr-pool-and-adding-over-120-of-liquidity-hive-power-ventures-dzj).


What these two tokens have in common, at least for me, is that they are both part of the Top 3 layer-2 tokens I own in the largest amounts. Excluding SWAP.HIVE, the top three positions in my portfolio are held by LEO, PWR, and PIMP.

## <center>PIMP</center>


PIMP is a [token](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) with many facets:  
- It’s a **tribe-token**, which can be earned through [curation rewards](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-curation-reward-hive) by tagging [posts](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-post-hive) with "PIMP".  
- It’s a **tip-token**, allowing users with at least 1,000 PIMP staked to tip other users using the command `!PIMP`. (*I have 10,000 PIMP, so I can tip twice a day, giving 5 PIMP each time.*)  
- It’s a **dividends-token**, meaning holders receive daily [dividends](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-dividend) in the form of both HIVE and other layer-2 tokens.  
- It’s one of the few—*if not the only*—Hive tokens backed by **real assets**, such as [silver](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-silver), which is periodically purchased using part of the project’s [profits](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-profit). This ensures that even in the event of a collapse of Hive or the token itself, [investors](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investor) won’t see their holdings entirely wiped out.  


In short, PIMP is a multi-faceted token that stands out as a highly interesting project, particularly because it has endured for many years—something rare in the crypto world.

## <center>PWR</center>

PWR is a [token](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) I’ve decided to invest in much more recently, but it also boasts over a year and a half of existence.  


The main feature of this token is that it’s **soft-pegged** to HIVE. Its value always corresponds roughly to 1 HIVE, although the founder of this project plans to guarantee that, in the future, 1 PWR will always be worth at least 1 HIVE, with the possibility of it being worth more.  


This means that buying PWR at a value close to 1 HIVE ensures a good deal—provided, of course, that the project continues to do well!  


Keep in mind, though, that the minimum [peg](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-peg) of 1 HIVE is maintained by @empoderat, and there’s always a [risk](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-risk) that this might not suffice someday, causing PWR to fall below that value.  


I certainly hope this doesn’t happen, but I feel it’s important to point out all the risks involved in a project.  


Additionally, holding PWR allows you to:  
- Stake it, earning additional PWR as rewards (*with a currently high APR!*).  
- Participate in the PWR:SWAP.HIVE [liquidity pool](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-liquidity-pool-lp), earning an [APR](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-annual-percentage-return-apr) of around 15%, split evenly between PWR and SWAP.HIVE.

## <center>And a Touch of Upvotes</center>


I’m personally happy to [hold](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hold) both of these [tokens](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) and plan to gradually increase my holdings over time.  


An extra benefit offered by both tokens is the possibility of receiving upvotes—*although these are never guaranteed and depend on the quality of the posts.*  


For **PIMP**, users must delegate [HP](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-power-hp) to the @tokenpimp account to be eligible for upvotes.  


For **PWR**, holding the token itself is enough.  


As someone who is quite active on [Hive](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive), this is a huge advantage for me, motivating me to support and participate in these projects to the best of my ability.

#  PIMP e PWR: Due dei Miei Top 3 Token su Hive-Engine

Dopo ormai diversi anni che sono su attivo su Hive finalmente comincio a vedere i primi risultati non solo per quanto riguarda i miei HP, che continuano a crescere ogni giorno di più portandomi sempre più vicino ai 13.000 HP, ma anche i tokens layer 2, ossia tokens disponibili su Hive Engine - *che è appunto il layer 2 di Hive* - e spesso dotati di funzioni interessanti, come SPS, il token della governance di Splinterlands, o LEO, il perno su cui gira l'ecosistema di InLeo.

Qualche tempo fa vi avevo parlato dei token [BRO e THGAMING](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-bro-and-thgaming-targets-achieved-5j5) ed oggi vorrei introdurne altri due:

- PIMP, creato da @enginewitty e che uno dei token che possiedo da più tempo in assoluto;
- PWR, creato da @empoderat e di cui vi avevo già parlato anche in altre due occasioni, ossia [qui](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-becoming-a-liquidity-provider-in-the-swaphivepwr-pool-hive-power-ventures-gwx) e [qui](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-betting-big-on-the-swaphivepwr-pool-and-adding-over-120-of-liquidity-hive-power-ventures-dzj).

Ciò che ai miei occhi accomuna questi due token è che entrambi fanno parte della Top 3 dei tokens layer 2 che possiedo in maggior quantità; escludendo SWAP.HIVE, nelle prime tre posizioni del mio portafoglio troviamo infatti LEO, PWR e PIMP.

## <center>PIMP</center>

PIMP è un token dalle moltissime sfaccettature: 
- è un tribe-token, che può essere ottenuto come ricompensa da curation utilizzando nei propri post il tag PIMP;
- è un tip-token, in quanto se si hanno almeno 1000 PIMP in stake è possibile lasciare una tip agli altri utenti usando il comando !PIMP - *io che di PIMP ne ho 10.000 posso usare il comando due volte al giorno ed ogni volta dare 5 PIMP come tip*;
- è un dividends-token, in quanto detenere PIMP dà diritto a ricevere ogni giorno dei dividenti sia sotto forma di HIVE che di altri tokens layer 2;
- è uno dei pochissimi - *se non l'unico* - token di Hive ad essere garantito da degli assets **reali**, come l'argento che viene periodicamente acquistato con parte dei guadagni generati dal progetto stesso e che, in caso di tracollo di Hive o del token, garantisce ai suoi possessori di non veder completamente azzerato il proprio investimento.

Insomma, PIMP è un token dalle tante anime che contribuiscono a renderlo un progetto molto interessante e, soprattutto, che ha saputo resistere al passere del tempo per tanti anni, cosa non facile nel mondo delle crypto.

## <center>PWR</center>

PWR è un token in cui ho deciso di investire molto più recentemente ma che vanta ormai anche lui più di un anno e mezzo di vita.

La caratteristica principale di questo token è di essere **soft-pegged** ad HIVE: il suo valore quindi corrisponde sempre più o meno ad 1 HIVE, anche se la volontà del fondatore di questo progetto è, per il futuro, di garantire solo che 1 PWR equivalga sempre almeno ad 1 HIVE, potendo invece PWR assumere anche valori maggiori.

In questo modo acquistare PWR ad un valore vicino ad 1 HIVE garantisce di fare sempre un buon affare... ovviamente fintanto che il progetto continua a fare bene!

Ricordo infatti che il peg minimo di 1 HIVE è mantenuto da @empoderat e non si può escludere che questo, un giorno, non sia più sufficiente e PWR scenda al di sotto di tale valore.

Ovviamente io mi auguro che ciò non accada mai, ma ci tengo a precisarlo perchè è sempre giusto conoscere tutti i rischi di un progetto.

Oltre a questo, detenere PWR consente di fare due cose:
- metterlo in staking, così ottenendo in ricompensa nuovi PWR - *con un APR attualmente molto alto!*
- partecipare alla liquidity pool PWR:SWAP.HIVE, ottenendo un APR di circa il 15% pagato per la metà in PWR e per l'altra in SWAP.HIVE.

Anche qui per seguire gli aggiornamenti ufficiali vi consiglio di seguire @empoderat stesso, che periodicamente aggiorna i suoi followers sulle novità più importanti del suo progetto - *il cui nome ufficiale è Hive Power Ventures* - ed è sempre molto disponibile per rispondere alle domande di coloro che hanno dei dubbi.

## <center>Ed un pizzico di upvotes</center>

Personalmente sono contento di detenere entrambi questi tokens e nel tempo conto di arrivare a detenerne quantità sempre più importanti.

Un piccolo extra che entrambi questo token offrono è infatti anche la possibilità di ricevere degli upvotes - *che però non sono mai garantiti e dipendono dalla qualità dei posts*.

Nel caso di **PIMP** per poter essere upvotati occorre delegare degli HP all'account @tokenpimp.

Nel caso di **PWR**, invece, bisogna detenere token PWR.

Dato che sono un autore abbastanza attivo su Hive questo è per me un beneficio enorme che mi incentiva a partecipare a questi progetti e supportarli al meglio delle mie capacità.
