How active is the German community
<center>http://i.cubeupload.com/PIAFUi.jpg</center>

Few days ago, I published some stats about [the activity of the Korean community](https://steemit.com/statistics/@arcange/how-active-is-the-korean-community) and [the activity of Spanish community](https://steemit.com/statistics/@arcange/how-active-is-the-spanish-community).

I do not want to make anyone jealous and I know the German community is also very active as well. Therefore, as I did for both communities mentioned above, here are the same stats aimed at the German authors.

##### _Preliminary note_

_As I cannot (accurately) identify user's country based on information stored in the account properties, my selection is based on the tags they used for posting. Any user having used the #german or the #deutsch tags (either as main or secondary tag) has been taken into account as a "German author/user" to build these stats._

### 1. New users

This chart shows the number of newly registered users on Steemit. Unfortunately, it does not include German people who registered an account but never posted or commented (I think of curator or investor only accounts, if any).

This graph shows the total number of registered accounts who made at least one post or comment. Steady growth ... steady growth ...

### 2. Active users

These graphs show the activity of users over time and in more details for the last 30 days.
Approximately half of the registered users are active, which is correlated with Steemit's overall statistics. And the growth last days is particularly impressive.

The second chart may seem weird, because there are active users when no authors appear below. I interpret this as being the fact that the German users, although they already created their account and were already active on Steemit, have been waiting a bit before you starting to publish using the #deutsch or #german tag.

This time, we have a difference between the **Active curators** and **Active unique users**, meaning they are some authors who do not curate, and some users who mainly do curation but do not write posts everydays.

### 3. Post and comments

These graphs show the evolution of posts and comments for the for the last 30 days and the whole blockchain lifetime.

The growth of the German community is less impressive than the Korean or the Spanish community, but we can still congratulate them for having a very good growth.

### 4. Curation

These graphs show the evolution of curation (upvotes) for the whole blockchain lifetime and for the last 30 days. Once again we can see a constant and strong growth, especially for the last days.

### 5. Distribution

This graph shows the distribution of the voting power. The German community has a rather good distribution of the voting power among its members, at least better than the whole Steemit userbase distribution. They are equals with the Spanish community for the number of whales, but have a few more orcas. Well done!

This graph shows the distribution of the reputation among users. Accounts with a reputation lower than 25 have been removed to keep the graph readable.

Wow, the german community has a lot of high reputation authors. If you check my [latest daily stats](https://steemit.com/statistics/@arcange/steemit-statistics-2017-05-20), you will see that they are not so much users with a reputation greater than 73 and this community has a bunch of them. Impressive!

## Conclusion

The German community is not the latest on Steemit. Keep an eye on it, there are a lot of good authors in.

I hope these stats will be of interest to you and to my German friends.

Thanks for reading.
