I distributed over half a million upvotes!

In four days, I will celebrate my 5 years on Hive. While I expect to receive a notification from @hivebuzz about it, that's another message I received from them a bit sooner:

This puts me in 13th position among all users of the platform in the @hivebuzz [ranking](https://hivebuzz.me/ranking):

I have been quite surprised because I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. Anyway, reaching this milestone makes me happy for the following reasons:

* **We can grow together**

While I must admit that part of my curation is automated, the most important is the way I configured this one.

I'm not a personal ROI maximalist and I truly believe that we have more interest in growing together, so I parametrized it to distribute **a maximum of decent upvotes to a maximum of people**, rather than throwing a few powerful upvotes to a few privileged ones.

And, as I have never done a powerdown so far, it means that I have been distributing more and more rewards to more and more users.

* **It's economically viable**

If you go take a look at my [hivestats](https://hivestats.io/@arcange) page, you will find that my APR is quite good. It usually oscillates between 10% and 14%, which I consider an excellent score for someone who does not seek profitability at all costs.

This proves that you can support a large number of posts and users, not only the top ones, and still get a good return. It is therefore **a win-win model that works!**

### Follow me

My goal is to continue this way. The recent changes in the curation rules brought by the HF25 may be a game-changer, but that doesn't bother me. I also do a good part of my curation manually and regularly upvote interesting comments left by users. And I'm ready to adapt.

I invite you to experience this way of curating by yourself or, why not, by adding me to your curation trail. You will make a lot of people happy and I am sure you will be a part of it as well.

Over 2000 years ago, there is someone who said *"Give and you shall receive"*.
Maybe he wasn't entirely wrong.

**PS:** I'm on my way to **one million upvotes** and it might take me another 5 years =). Help me reach this goal faster by leaving an **interesting comment** here and I will upvote you!
