To many, January is the cue for new beginnings and new resolutions. Procrastinators like me are still busy getting distracted to actually create plans! Welcome to the year 2023. How are you approaching this year?

How did your holidays go? December has been pretty hectic on my end! I could probably go on all day about how taxing the month has been but that's a different story. Another different story is that I'm going to get myself a bigger bee badge this month!

###### December Recap

[Last month](https://peakd.com/hive-122221/@arcgspy/power-up-and-some-irl-updates-month-7-december-2022), I mentioned starting a new job! I'm loving it so far but man, dealing with timezones will take a lot of getting used to. Call me crazy but I have been willingly joining meetings at very odd local times. Midnight meetings, 3 AM meetings... I'm a headless chicken running around for the first few weeks at work! It's the beauty of startups - there's so much to learn but there are chances of overwhelming yourself if you're not careful.

It has also been month two of making sure that [c/HivePH's](https://peakd.com/c/hive-188409) social media profiles are up and running. I am itching to create a report of how things have been doing for the past months of firing out web2 posts but the hesitation that goes along with inexperience comes first. Knowing something but not knowing it a lot really bothers me! I might end up creating a useless report that no one really has to read.

Along with these two, I have been struggling with holiday anxieties. My personal life has been really messy and there were days that I wanted to wipe my existence off of the face of the world. By no means am I talking about anything morbid - I just want to disappear and float. Unfortunately, that is not something I can afford to do so I'd rather spend my days working on things that have actual bearing.

I haven't been able to post since last month so we're skipping that! For January's PUD, I'm throwing in 51 HP to cover for my lapses! I was not able to reach my 500 HP goal last year but 400 HP also works. The extra Hive I got for December was actually from participating Hive PH's Talent Show!

I've reached 400 HP - 100 shy of my original 2022 goal - but I'm happy with how it turned out! If I didn't fool around with submitting an entry for HivePH's Talent Show, I would've stuck with powering up 10 Hive, lol.
