Here's a photo I took last summer in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. I was intrigued by the lone tree, growing on the remains of an old abandoned pier. A long exposure gives the scene a peaceful and dreamy feel, as the sun slips behind l'Île aux Plaines.

I was able to produce a long exposure shot without ND filters by stacking multiple images. My Pentax KS2 allowed me to take about 100 exposures, and automatically merge them in-camera, resulting in a single raw file. I also took a single image when the sun was exactly where I wanted it, and composited in Photoshop to get the sun, tree, and clouds without motion blur.
