'Artificial' denotes the origin of the intelligence; it does not define its properties. As there is due cause to think that human intelligence happened naturally, rather than being thoroughly formed by human-like factors, there does not seem to be a reason for our intelligence being artificial. If it isn't natural, then what is it? <h3>Likening It To The Computational World</h3> I could be conflating (computational) intelligence with consciousness here, but it is still an area which should be highlighted. So far, there isn't any reason to suggest that these two are aspects of the same development. One should also take into consideration the unconscious and preconscious factors to human experience. Consciousness isn't as simple as the top-down software programming most people are used to. Instead, we could imagine the making of AI as the intricate weaving of neural networks. This allows for the bottom-up passage of code and knowledge. <h3>A Different Perspective</h3> Leading AI researchers are trying and failing by using this symbolic-descriptive, top-down approach that programmers use for software programming. This approach is misused in AI analysis because it is made to be constantly maintained. But AI is based around neural networks developing itself. This could be understood by saying that we understand the advanced computational functions of the brain, but we do not know how to actually make and code them. However, I feel like it is worse than this. We do not know what computational functions cause consciousness. They might not even be complex - nobody knows. http://www.azquotes.com/picture-quotes/quote-sometimes-it-is-the-people-no-one-imagines-anything-of-who-do-the-things-that-no-one-alan-turing-87-51-55.jpg
