Setiap kita rasanya sering mendengar perkataan seperti “Ah, suku A itu kasar” atau “Suku B itu kan pemalas”. Atau menyangkut agama seperti “Agama C itu orangnya banyak anarkis” atau “Agama D itu penjahat”. Perkataan-perkataan seperti itu disebut dengan stereotip. Stereotip adalah menyamaratakan semua orang berdasarkan golongan, gender, suku, agama, ras ataupun kelompok. Stereotip berdampak buruk bagi kehidupan bermasyarakat sebab kita anggap semua orang dari kelompok tertentu sama. Masa kita menilai seseorang hanya berdasarkan suku atau kelompoknya saja. Ditambah lagi stereotip juga merambah ketika orangtua memilih calon pasangan untuk anaknya. Tanpa mengenal orang tersebut secara personal, banyak dari kita sudah memvonis seperti apa orang tersebut hanya berdasarkan dari suku. Bukankah dalam Islam pun kita disuruh saling mengenal satu sama lain sebab semua orang sama, yang membedakan hanyalah ketaqwaan.

>All of us possibly often hear the saying like this, “Ah, the A tribe is rude” or “the B tribe is lazy people”. Or even which concerned to the religion such as “the people of religion C are anarchy” or “people of religion D are criminals”. The sayings like that are called stereotype. Stereotype is generalizing the people based on their class, gender, tribe, or religion. Stereotype has the bad impacts for our social lives because we assume that all people are the same. How can we judge a person only based on his tribe. In addition, stereotype also comes into the parents who choose the candidates of partner for their children. Without knowing the person, most of us have judged what he is only based on his tribe. Are we in Islam asked to know each other because all is the same, the difference is only our “taqwa”.

Yang membentuk perilaku dan sifat seseorang itu adalah lingkungan, bukan suku atau agama. Apabila ada orang dari suku A yang perilakunya sama sesuai stereotip dari suku A itu disebabkan ia bergaul di situ-situ saja. Contoh berlawanannya seperti ini, orang dari suku A lahir dan besar di tempat yang mayoritas diisi dari orang suku B. Dia bergaul dan berbaur bersama suku B, dan lihatlah bahwa dia akan berperilaku seperti suku B. Si Budi seorang yang bersuku A yang distereotipkan kasar, ia lahir dan besar di pulau seberang yang mayoritas diisi suku B yang distereotipkan bertuturkata lemah lembut. Lihat akan seperti apa ia, seperti stereotip suku A atau suku B. Jadi, manusia itu dibentuk oleh lingkungannya, bukan dari suku apa yang mengalir di darahnya.

> What creates the behavior and the attitude of a person is the environment, not a tribe or religion. If there is a person from a tribe whose the behavior is similar with the stereotype of the tribe, it is because he hangs out just in the areas of his tribe. The opposite sample is like this, a man of tribe A was a born and raised in a place the majority filled by people of tribe B. He is hanging out with the tribe B, then see that he would behave like the tribe B. Budi is from tibe A which is stereotyped rough, he was born and raised on the island that is majority filled by the tribe B which is stereotyped meek. The see what he will become, become as  stereotype of tribe A or tribe B. In short, man is founded by his environment, not of the tribe of that which flows in the blood.

Intelijensi juga berperan besar dalam pembentukan diri seseorang. Semakin tinggi level intelijensi seseorang, maka ia juga akan tahu harus berperilaku seperti apa. Dia bisa membedakan mana yang baik dan mana yang buruk. Otomastis pula hal-hal buruk yang distereotipkan untuk sukunya akan gugur. Sebaliknya level intelijensi yang rendah akan membuat seseorang berperilaku buruk dan menghapus hal-hal baik yang distereotipkan pada sukunya. Saya lebih memilih kata intelijensi atau kepandaian seseorang dibandingkan dengan level pendidikan atau sekolah. Sebab, tingginya level pendiidikan seseorang atau tingginya orang bersekolah sering kali tidak berbanding lurus dengan level intelijensi atau kepandaiannya. Ijazah bukanlah acuan kepandaian seseorang, ijazah adalah bukti bahwa kamu pernah “masuk” sekolah.

> Intelligence also plays a big part to create a person's behavior.The higher someone’s intelligence level, he will know what like to behave. He can discern between good and bad . The bad things which is stereotyped to his tribe will be lost. On the other hand, low intelligence level will make someone to behave bad and remove all the good stereotype in his tribe. I preferred to say intelligence than someone’s education or school level. It is because someone’s high education or shool level is often not suitable to the intelligence level .The school certificate is not referred to someone’s intelligence, it is only evidence that you ever had “joined” school.

Mungkin, stereotip akan terus berkembang dan menjamur. Juga, stereotip orang tua untuk calon pasangan anaknya juga akan tetap ada. Tapi dari tulisan ini, beberapa orang saja mungkin yang akan membaca. Saya pribadi berharap semoga dapat dijadikan pembelajaran. Dan ketika menjadi orangtua kelak nanti, dapat mengenali dan mendalami orang yang dikenalkan oleh anak kita sebagai calon pasangan hidupnya. Kenali saja dulu. Jangan hanya lihat dari suku. Orang baik bisa datang dari mana saja juga orang jahat pun begitu. Dan dari Steemit ini saya berharap stereotip dapat hilang perlahan dan kita saling mengenal satu sama lain tanpa batasan. > Maybe , stereotypes will keep existing and being like mushrooms. Also, the stereotype in prospective parents for their children also willl be established. But from this post, some people possibly will read it. I personally perhaps could be used as learning. And when becoming a parent later, we can recognize and explore the introduction from the partner candidate of our children. Recognize it first. Do not just look at the tribe. The good people can come from anywhere and so did bad people. And from Steemit, I hope stereotypes will be lost and we are getting to know each other without limitation. Let be friends, steemians!
