T'was a busy day...

Nonetheless, in the morning I found time to visit my steemit wallet and decided that I the SBD price was good enough for a pay out. ๐

I've only used @blocktrades for all my steemit payouts as the process is very straightforward for a crypto-noob like me. It was also my first time to transfer to coins.ph ETH wallet. The ETH wallet was a recent addition to the coins.ph interface.

Pay Out Process

So I initiated the transfer using blocktrades ...

For the sake of my @steemph.uae fam newbies, I'm including here a step-by-step of the process:
1. First, you must have a BTC or ETH (or other crypto)wallet. When you go to blocktrades you will find they support different kinds of coins e.g. BTC, ETH, Litecoin, Dodgecoin, Steem, SBD, bitshares etc. Here in UAE we can payout through bitoasis or coins.ph as most Pinoys use. I shared earlier that bitoasis transactions to our AED bank accounts take 7 working days so for that reason I recommend coins.ph. (If you already have a coins.ph account then good. Otherwise you can download the app now and use my referral code: 6e0elp hehe. 2. Go to blocktrades and input the amount you would like to transfer from your steemit account. 3. Copy your ETH wallet receive address and paste it to the "Deposit Address" box on blocktrades. Click on "get deposit address". You will have two options- via steem connect or manual transfer. I clicked "manual transfer" as this is the process I am familiar with
https://steemitimages.com/DQmebNwDqAam1PDdr1soFdeu4NzjSu9awR8EEdCzyBKRnKa/GIF-180502_234820.gif
4. At this point, you have to go back to your steemit wallet and transfer the amout you would like to pay out to @blocktrades and mention the public memo provided to you when you got the deposit address. Be careful when typing the recipient name. You don't want your funds get misdirected.
My heart stopped beating for a bit..

If you have done steemit wallet transactions, then you must know that transfers are pretty straightforward, almost instant. However...
https://steemitimages.com/DQmSatuLvsnx4LLA2oJEnXTJynyHUJRaQkwwCoxK7h7xBtu/image.png
Notice the small circle where the arrow is pointing. The transaction seemed to be on process for forever and I got worried. I thought I just lost my sbd's. Lol

But when I went back to blocktrades, my transaction had been sitting there already. ๐ Note: Do not close the blocktrades window- when you go back here from your steemit wallet you will see the pending, completed and failed transactions. Though it is not necessary for a sign in on blocktrades to perform a transfer, it is much better if you do so you will have your records handy.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmX8bw1jdNt7siesDmhvcQMhj87X3fwZzN35qRAMfK5U9c/Screenshot_2018-05-03-06-50-09.jpg

At this stage, my hard earned steemit earnings were already on it's way to my coins.ph ETH wallet. If I can say, I don't think it took more than 5 minutes for the ETH to reflect on my coins.ph account. In between, I could even see on my ETH wallet that an incoming transfer was happening.

Conclusion

My first try using the coins.ph ETH wallet was pretty much seamless (apart from the skipped-heartbeat-moment which was perhaps due to my internet connection). I think it costed less transaction fees to do an ETH transfer than BTC. Also, to save on transaction fees try to do a reasonable amount transaction.

Moreso, I was reminded again that my time here on steemit did not go to waste. I saw my earnings transferred to where I could readily it cash out. Nice eh?!

So keep steeming, find ways to grow and succeed on this platform. I still have a long way to go even after almost a year of being here, so work, work, work! ๐

PS: Am I the only one who lost the "upvote options"?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmfTUmund8rtNhMAMKcPUViQ8NujhGFf38Umc3PuJgnQkg/PicsArt_05-03-07.27.03.jpg

I noticed this last night as I was doing the SteemPH UAE : Daily Featured Posts | 02 May 2018.

I checked on 2 devices and I do not have on both. So is this a new #steemit update?!

Have you voted your witness?
