Investment Fund is a fund that you keep on the side apart from your Investments and Liquid Cash which you use when you see any good Investment opportunity. For example, the Indian Stock Market seems to be entering a bearish phase and there are a lot of Investment Opportunities that are shining brighter than ever before but for you to get those Investment Opportunities you have to have some Fund ready for such occasions.

Now, this may vary from person to person but for me, I like to keep at least a minimum of 10-15 percent of my total Portfolio Value as Liquid Cash which is only meant for Investment and I call it my Investment Fund. I am also a believer in the fact that you should only invest in small amounts in a systematic way even when you see massive opportunity in front of you.


The next point which I feel is also important is to have proper Discipline so that you never touch your Investment Fund no matter what excuse you have or emergency you have. In my case, I practice by keeping around 100 USD in a box in front of my PC and I vow to never take a penny out of it and in any case, I do take some money out of the box I have to fill it up at 150% which means if I take 50 USD out of that Box I put in 75 USD on a later date.  This is my Routine so that I always have Discipline when it comes to my Investments.
