Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to greet you. Let me introduce myself: my name is Rosmer Colmenares, and I am very excited to get to know this vast and diverse community. I am thrilled to share my experiences and artistic journey with you. I am the son of Javier and Rosa, born in Guatire, a city in the Miranda state of my beloved country, Venezuela. I grew up in a family with two siblings, occupying the middle position. Although I was born in Guatire, when I turned two years old, my family decided to move to the capital, my dear Caracas, the city that saw me grow and has been fundamental in my personal and artistic development.
From a very young age, I received an education based on values and effort, mainly influenced by my mother, who was a teacher for a long time. I owe a great part of my love for art to her. Since I can remember, I have felt a deep sensitivity and attraction to creation, discovery, and constant learning. Questioning my surroundings and understanding them in order to transform them has been a constant motivation in my life. This has led me to undertake various activities that challenge me, enrich me, and allow me to see different realities.
Art has always been present in my life. Since childhood, I developed a special connection with music, visual arts, and photography—disciplines that have been the fundamental pillars of my personal research. One of my favorite shows was Art Attack, which inspired me daily to create sculptures, crafts, and paintings. I also loved cartoons, which sparked a great affinity for traditional illustration, caricature, drawing, and fictional characters. This creativity-filled childhood encouraged me to continue growing as an artist and as a person. At the age of 12, I also ventured into martial arts, practicing Karate-Do in the Shotokan and Goju-Ryu styles, as well as Kobudo, a discipline that left a significant mark on my life.
During elementary and high school, I continued exploring art while advancing in my studies. It was during this time that I discovered a cultural center near my community called FEZ, where I had the opportunity to participate in workshops on Afro-Venezuelan percussion and salsa, graphic design, drawing, and painting. I was also part of a choir and became involved in theater, as well as in the artistic and cultural movements of my country. Upon graduating from high school, I decided to continue my education at Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes (UNEARTE), where I study Arts of Design with the goal of earning a degree in visual arts.
Currently, I work as a freelance designer and producer for a television channel in my country, as well as selling my artworks. My interests and hobbies continue to revolve around art, music, architecture, production, design, psychology, and history, as I enjoy reading and researching everything that is part of my essence. I am grateful to have discovered this platform through a university classmate, and I look forward to connecting with you by sharing my works, photographs, writings, and investigations that arise throughout my day.

¡Hola a todos! Es un placer saludarlos. Me presento: mi nombre es Rosmer Colmenares y estoy muy emocionado de conocer esta comunidad tan extensa y diversa. Me llena de ilusión compartir con ustedes mis vivencias y mi experiencia artística. Soy hijo de Javier y Rosa, nacido en Guatire, una ciudad del estado Miranda en mi amado país, Venezuela. Crecí en una familia con dos hermanos, ocupando el lugar del medio. Aunque nací en Guatire, cuando cumplí dos años mi familia decidió mudarse a la capital, mi querida Caracas, la ciudad que me vio crecer y que ha sido fundamental en mi desarrollo personal y artístico.
Desde muy pequeño, recibí una educación basada en valores y en el esfuerzo, principalmente influenciado por mi madre, quien fue docente durante mucho tiempo. A ella le debo en gran medida mi amor por el arte. Desde que tengo uso de razón, he sentido una profunda sensibilidad y atracción por la creación, el descubrimiento y el aprendizaje constante. Cuestionar mi entorno y comprenderlo para transformarlo ha sido una motivación constante en mi vida. Esto me ha llevado a emprender diversas actividades que me desafían, me enriquecen y me permiten conocer distintas realidades.
El arte siempre ha estado presente en mi vida. Desde niño, tuve un acercamiento especial con la música, las artes plásticas y la fotografía, disciplinas que han sido los pilares fundamentales de mi investigación personal. Uno de mis programas favoritos era Art Attack, que me inspiraba a crear esculturas, manualidades y pinturas. También me encantaban las caricaturas, lo que despertó en mí una gran afinidad por la ilustración, el dibujo y los personajes ficticios. Esta infancia llena de creatividad me impulsó a seguir desarrollándome como artista y como persona. A los 12 años, también incursioné en las artes marciales, practicando Karate-Do en los estilos Shotokan y Goju-Ryu, así como Kobudo, una disciplina que dejó una marca significativa en mi vida.
Durante la primaria y la secundaria, continué explorando el arte mientras avanzaba en mis estudios. Fue en esa época cuando descubrí un centro cultural cercano a mi comunidad, el FEZ, donde tuve la oportunidad de participar en talleres de percusión afro-venezolana y salsa, diseño gráfico, dibujo y pintura. También formé parte de un coro y me acerqué al teatro, así como a los movimientos artísticos y culturales de mi país. Al graduarme de bachiller, decidí continuar mi formación en la Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes (UNEARTE), donde estudio Artes del Diseño con la meta de graduarme como licenciado en artes plásticas.
Actualmente, trabajo como diseñador freelance y productor en un canal televisivo de mi país, además de vender mis obras de arte. Mis intereses y pasatiempos siguen girando en torno al arte, la música, la arquitectura, la producción, el diseño, la psicología y la historia, ya que disfruto leer e investigar todo lo que forma parte de mi esencia. Agradezco haber conocido esta plataforma gracias a un compañero de mi universidad, y espero poder conectar con ustedes a través de mis trabajos, fotografías, textos e indagaciones que surgen a lo largo de mi día.
