Carnot Engine was invented by Nicolas Léonard Sadi Carnot

Lets Stop knowing about Nicolas and lets begin our journey through the greatest invention "CARNOT ENGINE"

An simple definition for Carnot Engine is :- A reversible heat engine operating between two different temperatures is called Carnot Engine

Lets know about its parts:- 

1. Source

It is a reservoir (having a conducting top) of heat energy at a constant temperature . its specific heat capacity is infinity  that extraction of any amount of heat does bring no appreciable changes in its temperature

2. Body of the engine

It is a barrel having a perfectly insulating walls and conducting bottom.
It is fitted with an airtight piston capable of sliding within the barrel without friction . The barrel contains some Quantity of ideal gas

3. Sink

It is a huge body at a lower temperature having a perfectly Conducting Top
Its specific heat Capacity is infinity that any amount of heat, rejected into sink , is not likely to increase its temperature

4. Insulating Stand :- 

It is a stand made up of perfectly insulating material such that the barrel, when place over it , becomes thoroughly insulated from the surroundings.
