Being in canada with short summer , its best time of the year to get outdoors. Our little one "Kiara" had done 3-4 hours hike when she was just 2 year old and all by herself 70% of the trail. And last year also we had done a few hikes in Banff and Algonquin park covering 4-5 km moderate trail in 3-4 hours. Kiara ! We are a family who loves outdoor so we decided to start off the Summer in Style. So this time we though we will give it a try for a longer trail . I found a trail near by which had different loops some short and some takes longer time. We choose the longest trail 7.2 km one way this time and at any point if the Kiara is not comfortable we could always return back. Over all we did 14.5 km in 5.5 hours   The trail is mostly easy with some section moderate/difficult. Kiara did not show any sign of tiredness and never complained. We usually take many short breaks and also carry enough snacks (trail mix, oranges , grapes ) and water.  Most of the time hike is more like a game Kiara, this time she role playing "Paw Petrol". We also play with her that way its more of a fun activity !  She loves outdoor and always picks up a stick with her. So this time i got a stick prepared before the trip and let her write her name on it and paint. She used it for some time but was not interested later on , she complain its small :) It was on Mothers day we did this hike !  This hike hike was 2 weeks back , but last long weekend we went on another camping trip and hiking - That blog is coming up soon !
