A month ago, we bought the first (in my life) hens. The first time I was worried, worried about their food, their conditions of detention, but after a month all fears disappeared.  Probably chickens love their new home too. Within a week after the move, they began to lay eggs, gradually increasing the pace. To date, up to 3 eggs per day. 3 hens and 3 eggs - just a great result. They laid 36 eggs in a month.  But the hens did not stop there. The eggs of our hens were initially noticeably bigger then eggs from shop, but one of the hens beats all records. Today she laid such a huge egg.  Now we think whether she is a duck :)  Chickens eat everything with pleasure. Grass, porridge, grain, feed, berries, beetles. They are simply delighted with pasta and tadpoles, which are swallowed whole.   To keep 3 chickens turned out to be easier than a dog and of course easier than 3 children :) I am satisfied. Now we are thinking about expanding the number of chickens, but first I’ll finish the construction of the house and complete the move to my new homestead, and there we’ll definitely expand.
