<div class="text-justify"> ----- ----- Hello guys! What do you think is the most unique fruit in the world? Or what fruit is typical of a region, including yours? I have one, is about salak! Well, yesterday my family and I went on vacation to Sipirok City, we didn't forget to buy souvenirs for neighbors/ family. So, the Sipirok area is not far from a small area called Parsalakan. ----- ----- ----- ----- ### Parsalakkan City is a Most Of Salak Fruit ----- ----- Parsalakan is a small town not far from Sipirok, has fertile soil and is the most suitable for growing a commodity of Salak fruit. Salak fruit is a fruit that was born from the archipelago, I don't know for sure it came from Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia, but for sure, the best salak fruit I've ever eaten comes from Parsalakan City, Sidempuan, Indonesia. Typical of the parsalakan city of salak fruit, it has a sweet, sour taste mixed with fresh and chelate. Very much different from the Salak Pondoh which comes from the island of Java, the salak owned by the city of Parsalakan is indeed the king of salak! So, when I was a child until I was 22 years old, I liked salak pondoh the most, people say that salak pondoh is an expensive salak that is sweet and delicious, you will never be disappointed. But after I married a man who introduced me to the typical salak fruit of the city of Parsalakan, I immediately fell in love, like people who fall in love in general who do not know time and space, and do not want to eat other salak except from this city. ----- ----- ----- ----- ### Gabe Shop’s ----- ----- How lucky I was to be taken away to a shop that sells salak directly from the tree, at Gabe's shop. Do you know what Gabe means? Gabe comes from the Batak language which means HAPPY. True to its name, this shop really makes me happy beyond measure. Why not? The owner of this shop took me to his salak garden to pick the salak fruit that we were going to buy. So, according to Mrs. Lubis (the owner of the shop and the salak garden), the salak that is being sold is a really ripe salak, so the system in her shop is only for people who order over the phone and it will be delivered shortly after it is harvested. So Mrs. Lubis' employees only harvest what has been ordered, so that the salak that is bought is ready to eat without having to wait for it to ripen. ----- ----- Lubis' mother said that this would allow her not to lose if the bark rotted because there were no buyers, while the salak is very easy to spoil. After all, salak is indeed best eaten when it is ripe and then eaten, not ripe. This is a new knowledge that I got and very useful for me. Well, there is one that I like the most when I buy salak at this shop. Gabe's shop uses 'Sumpit', made from coconut leaves that are embroidered into an organic bag that is easily biodegradable. It looks very attractive, preserves the natural ecosystem and of course it is very strong. One piece of these *sumpit* can withstand a heavy load of 5-8 kg of salak, and also these *sumpit* are very strong from the rough bark of thorny bark. And also these *sumpit* can be used repeatedly to store rice or other food ingredients. However, the shelf life of *sumpit* only lasts up to 1-2 months. ----- ----- ----- ----- ### Finally Finally, after harvesting and helping Mrs. Lubis to pack all our groceries, we paid and went home. By the way, as long as we are at Gabe's Store, we are allowed to eat as much as we like the salak fruit in Gabe's shop, starting from the ones on the display and even the defective ones can also be brought home for FREE. ----- ----- My mother-in-law keeps some defective salak fruit, the peeled fruit is not rotten, it's more of a fruit that looks ugly but tastes good like the others. At Gabe's shop, we may have spent more than 5 kg of salak for us to eat together, because here we come with a busy group, we are not ashamed to eat salak to our heart's content because we are all salak lovers. If you go to Parsalakan City, let's stop at Toko Gabe, guaranteed satisfaction with eating salak and you won't be disappointed with the fruit and service. See you next one :) ----- ----- Edited by Lightroom Iphone 11 ----- ----- ----- <div class="pull-left">https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23x1MhzmqSjRFnmLmfQwzVh8mGUFwTw8ikLoTrgZE8Mx2ouTVaZhd7PoBXD7NijfTTBei.jpeg </div> <div class="text-justify"> <b>About Author</b> Annyeong yorobun!
