Yesterday evening Tornadus was released in the game as the new Legendary Raid Boss found in 5 star Raids. Due to it being released at 10 pm in my country it's extremely rare to find the new Raid Boss on the day of release. So for my area Tornadus became available today.

I didn't really get to play during the afternoon to try attending a Tornadus Raid, but since it's Wednesday it means there's a Raid Hour! Thus I decided to wait until then to do some Tornadus Raids. We had a bunch of people add their name to the list for this Raid Hour, definitely a lot more than last week with Heatran. So we had to split into two groups as we were with over 20. The Raid itself really went super smooth, we were with like 13 for the Raid I was in after splitting up the group, and as you can see on the next screenshot there were still 241 seconds left when Tornadus was almost defeated.

After the Raid was done a 1906 CP Tornadus showed up for me to catch. I know a 1911 CP one is a 100% IV for the normal CP for Tornadus, so this one would be either 98% or 96%, someone else in the second group also ended up with a 1906 CP one. It took me a long time to try and catch it. I usually throw Great Curveball throws, and they were easy to hit on Tornadus. But I did misjudge the length of its attack at first, so I threw my ball too early one time. Sometimes I tried to hit it when it was on the left or right side and didn't always land a Great throw then. Eventually I did keep hitting Great Curveball throws, but it kept jumping out. Then I was down to the last ball. When I threw it I didn't wanna look at the screen anymore so I covered the phone. After a short while I checked to see whether or not it was caught and I saw that I did catch it!

That makes Tornadus registered in my Pokédex! As you can see in the next picture it is a 98% one.

After we did the Raid at that Gym we decided to go for one nearby where we also had to split up. Then after that Raid we went to the market square, some people only did one or two Raids so when we were going to do the one at the market square we were with exactly 20 and didn't have to split up anymore. Causing that Tornadus to go down even faster!

More people were done after this one, so we had a small group of like 8 left who were still going to do the one in the shopping street as well. When we were done with that Raid we were gonna stop raiding as some were starting to feel a bit cold. Three of us still walked around or hung out a bit at a Gym and Pokéstop while talking and joking around for like an hour before we also headed home.

Ended up doing 4 Tornadus Raids then in this Raid Hour and I managed to catch all 4 of them. The other 3 didn't take that long to catch as the first one.

Did you do any Tornadus Raids so far?
