There was a time in my life when I wouldn't pick up calls from unknown numbers. This was due to a circulating news report that someone, somewhere, would call and pretend to have sent a recharge card, which they would have actually sent. According to the report, if you answered the call, you would start vomiting blood. 
This news terrified me. 😊 ...
Different people gave similar reports. This was becoming rampant at that time. A friend of mine said that he loaded the card and nothing happened. He also said that he picked the call and had a long conversation with the person who reigned prayers just to get close to him. 
Although the issue eventually subsided, it has become a habit of mine to avoid answering unknown numbers.
