<p>LeBron James became the ninth player in NBA history to record 9,000 assists while Anthony Davis scored 23 points to lead Lakes to a 108-95 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.</p>
<p>35-year-old James scored the milestone in 4:35 minutes of the first quarter when he gave Davis an outlet pass.</p>
<p>James finished with 13 assists and 13 points.</p>
<p>Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added a season-high 19 points along with four 3-pointers followed by Dwight Howard's 15 markers.</p>
<p>Led by Luka Doncic, he shook off Lakers great Kobe Bryant at courtside after the game, the Mavericks, from 19 points.</p>
<p>In Denver, Will Barton scored 19 points, including two free throws in the last eight seconds, to lead the Nuggets to a 120-115 win over the Sacramento Kings.</p>
<p>Rookie Michael Porter Jr. provided of season-high 19 points and 6 rebounds for Denver, Nikola Jokic had 17 points and 8 rebounds.</p>
<p>In Memphis, Dillon Brooks scored 20 points while rookie Brandon Clarke had 18 markers in the Grizzlies' 117-104 defeat to the Charlotte Hornets.</p>
<p>Memphis blames Charlotte's five-point failure. Jonas Valanciunas scored 16 points and Jaren Jackson Jr. posted 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies.</p>
<p>Malik Monk led the Hornets with 18 points.</p>
