In the fast-growing landscape of blockchain economies, one linchpin of a concept that has emerged yet is not frequently discussed is "blockchain oracles" and their role in a tokenized future is even less acknowledged. 

As we know, the ultimate goal of crypto and blockchain technology is to power "decentralized economies" while maintaining an ecosystem of scale, security and profitability. Striking a balance in these things is tricky, most blockchains will never actually get it done for its complexity but this variation still plays an important role in the overall landscape.

On a recent note, tokenization has been frequent in the mouths of institutions looking to make moves into the cryptocurrency industry. One might wonder why this is the case, well, it's actually pretty simple, tokenization is being discussed because this is how institutions can enter with their loads of centralized structures, avoid what's already here and seek out was to suck up value from the ecosystem via their tokenized real world assets or securities like stocks. 

Is this a problem? Not really, stocks have existed for years and will continue to, same will real world assets even in their centralized nature but the business space is evolving and this is something the majority don't seem to understand. 

### Building on decentralization and incentives is a brand

It is not in crypto or blockchain's focus to change how existing businesses do their thing, history already leads us on so much knowledge when it comes to how businesses react to technological and general advancements. 

Truth? Most businesses do not adjust to them, thereby creating room for newer ones to take advantage of. 

In the case of crypto and blockchain technology, the adaptation to decentralized economies, tokenization and incentivization is effectively the branding for future businesses not really existing ones. 

When we say adaptation to decentralized economies, many may think we mean that businesses will be "decentralized" in nature, well, no! In as much as there will be several businesses that opt to build out unique products and services while maintaining a "decentralized" management network or system, the idea of businesses in general, adapting to decentralized economies is simply the use or leverage of several decentralized products, tools or services to advance business operations. 

One of the ways this can be done is via adopting blockchain technology to build business "incentives" with tokens. 

Think of businesses that might create several crypto tokens to incentivize its consumer base in one way or the other. That said, others might leverage tokenization in a different way like bringing real world assets into the blockchain ecosystem with the aid of it. 

Think of products having unique identities on the blockchain(e.g. NFTs) and also think of fungible tokens that can serve as fractional ownership of select physical products. 

The problem however with all these things lies in the security of the value flow when it comes to merging two very different worlds of business and this is where blockchain oracles come in. 

Whether it's to build a business managed in a decentralized manner via tokenization or to simply power several layers of tokenized physical assets or products, blockchain oracles serve a pivotal role in making this venture scale whilst maintaining the integrity and security of blockchain economies. 

It just dawned on me a few days ago that projects like Chainlink don't get enough credit for what they're doing and we frankly need more blockchain services like it because variety in itself promotes security.

That said, to maintain a decentralized economy for a real world business, blockchain oracles will be needed to track several layers of data across the real world and the blockchain ecosystem for seamless and secure delivery of services. 

These oracles having been built on incentives with risk structures that discourage bad actions will lead the world of business in the great merge of digital businesses and traditional communities. Tokenization will be at its greatest potential with the aid of blockchain oracles and businesses will maintain value security and scale with its use thereof.
