There is always a first time for everything and definitely same goes to me when I entered this community. I have been doing online tasks as part time since 2010 answering market surveys, writing articles and done some encoding tasks etc and it was just last year when I joined a certain facebook group where it really helped me a lot get hold on to new online tasks I can do since I also have a day job. Ive already read someone posted about steemit but it was a bit complicated for me and I was hesitant at first so I let it pass. Then early this year, me and steemit had crossed paths again and that was when I decided to join the community.

After signing in, I literally didnt know what to do. I was a writer for our school newspaper back in high school doing creative writing stuff. Yes, I do write but this is a different platform and a a different audience as well.

How can I cope up with the community?
How can I be of help to the community?
Will the readers like my post?
How does the system work?

These were the things that run in my mind. I tried reading the FAQs but I was kinda overwhelmed. All was new to me especially the currencies. I told myself whatever happens to me here at steemit atleast I tried. I was roaming around like a lost kitty reading one post from another, looking at how they write and what they usually write. I tried writing my own posts based from the writing pattern others had wrote theirs. It was kinda frustrating but then again I had to face the struggles of being a newbie. This was normal I believe and this too shall pass. Everyone passes thru this struggle. I also believe that if I just learn the basics of this platform everything will be okay.

Until one day, I met someone. She was barely new with the platform as well but she was so kind to help me around. After non-stop Q&As, she introduced me to her mentor. And that was when the time my steemit career had been enlightened. My posts had directions now, more likely better than before. Btw, their names are on my credits and I will be forever grateful to the both of them.

I am still a noob but I know I can manage to understand the community more by the generosities of other members as well. Of course I know that I still need to learn a lot that's why every time I come across useful and very informative post I try to resteem them. In that way I can also share with my followers who are like me still struggling but coping.

I courageously invite others to read as much as possible. It is the only tool that can help you around. Yes, there are very supportive people around us but they have their own ways also. Use them to ask as much as possible just be gentle with. And to all the leaders, we are very thankful to all of you. You are the light that guides our path in the darkness. You are our wall so please extend your patience with us. Me, as a newbie, promise that I will do my best to share contents that are inspiring, helpful and non-provoking and of course all original. Our success will not be possible without you guys so our success is your success as well.

Since I was into writing, I did thought that steemit was for me but I did not realize that this will also help me in some other way too! As what they say, come for the money but stay for the community.

Before I end my post I'd like to give special thanks to:
*@sitiaishah* for being my first friend here in this community and introducing me to her mentor and the reason I found home at _**STEEMITDIVERSIFY**_
*@iwrite* who guided us on how the system works and what should I write about especially for always being patient to us and pushing us to write and making us realize how important writing is.
*@ilyastarar* for his tips and tutorials which I really found very helpful and I are already applied some on this post.

And also to our mentor @surpassinggoogle who has been very supportive to other groups especially in our group (STEEMITDIVERSIFY).

Please do support him as a witness by voting him at https://steemit.com/~witnesses and type in "steemgigs" at the first search box.
