I haven’t written a post for New steemians for a while. I’ll be doing my Hijack my post a little later on for some free upvote and curation. There aren’t a lot of minnows for minnows but I would consider myself one of them. Actually I think I would be close to becoming a dolphin if I had not cashed out after 7 months.. but those profits haven’t disappeared. I suppose if I wanted too I could always convert it back to steem. In all honesty I use steemit to mine STEEM, so profit taking is what this is all about. Re-Investment is always a strategy. In any case I wanted to discuss the mining aspect of steem. When we post we essentially mine. The attention we get per upvote will decide how much of the block is mined. Luckily we aren’t dealing with algorithms but a few different factors. I’m going to break down what I believe effects how much of an upvote you will receive: - Time of day - Content - Community Regardless of the time of day I’m on some followers automatic steemvoter. This is a constant guarantee I’ll make a $1.00-$200 when I post. Trust me that this is a dream because when steemvoter is down, I’m making 0.50 cents and most of that is from a self upvote. However I recognize most people don’t have a steemvoter community to count on, so time of day can effect how many views you get. I’m not calculative enough, nor do I love steemit enough to maximize every little crypto penny you get. However just like television ratings you could maximize your posts based on activity. Content is important and sometimes a crapshoot. The picture I provided is telling. These are two separate blogs I wrote, and they were about 1 hour apart. One blog I am completely proud of, while the other is just a simple crypto update. Guess which got voted more! I have been telling many minnows to evaluate how much time you want to give your blog. Sometimes a couple paragraphs will garner more interest in 500-1000 words. Don’t waste your time. I for one am not willing to sit through a 1000 word blog. Maybe other steemians are; but I’m not. Put some pictures up, make it look good! Community is the MOST important in my opinion. You don’t have to join one, but you in essence create your own community with engagement. Those that vote for you, you should also support. I know it sounds like vote for a vote, or follow for a follow, but at the end of the day it’s CONNECTING. Call it support for those that support. Create bonds and engage. I didn’t get added to auto-votes by chance. Some of these steemians I care about. The only downside is I don’t see many comments from them and I miss their voice. Just giving some helpful tips that work! Your content is a crapshoot. Time of day and what you post can surely be different in terms of value. BB613
