It's hard to believe it's only been 8 days since @teamaustralia (now @hiveaustralia) decided to rebuild.

With everything that's happened and the amount of progress we've made, it seriously feels like months have passed, but no, it's only been 8 days.

In my 4 years on the blockchain I have gone through extremes. Either I was always on discord and blogging every day, or I was nowhere to be found.

These days, I think I've found my medium and that is to focus more on the discord side of things rather than posting. I find time spent with my Aussie crewmates to be valuable because it feels like we're using this time to bond and get to know each other.

# Hive Australia
For a group that consists of, in my highly biased opinion (because I'm so proud of all of them), some of the most "notorious" personalities on the chain, it feels so right that we are ungoverned.

I think the way everyone came together and delegated huge amounts to @hiveaustralia and kick started our upvote bot with a bang, the way everyone chips in and helps out on their own proves that we don't need governing. Things are just getting done and moving along, and most of all everyone is so nice!

# Things I take for granted
Being around such beautiful, kind and friendly people I naturally (and mistakenly) assumed most people in the cryptosphere would be the same but they're just not.

I joined a (not Hive related) crypto investment group recently and realised how unique Hivers are.

From the moment I posted my introduce me blog I was welcomed with open arms by the community. Votes were generously thrown at me and any questions I had were graciously and patiently answered. I was helped and mentored in more ways than I can even count.

THAT is the community atmosphere that I'm used to.

And because I've been spoiled by such a welcome and overwhelming kindness, I naively thought that's how it is in crypto but it's not.

Perhaps it's because it's a finance group and not really a community (although they reckon it is) that it's missing personal interaction/humanity aspect.

You know.. Let's get to know each other and make everyone feel welcome and included ~ sort of human touch.

This is what we Hivers do best. We share, and take in each other's lives. There's a real sense of belonging and community that you can't find anywhere else.

I wish I didn't lose my shit, told them I felt outside of the mods group and stepped down as mod because it would have been nice to help turn that server into a real community. But I felt, other than not feeling welcomed as a mod, I was woefully inadequate to provide assistance to people asking me trading questions, and that my ignorance could end up bringing shame to the others. ๐Ÿ˜ช

I realised techy, crypto trading stuff is not my forte, but if you need someone to help make a server feel like a home, I'm your girl. And THAT, I learned from being around Hivers.

So Cheers!! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿป And thank you all a thousand times over for being such an amazing community. One I am so proud to be a part of.
