I'm not exactly sure if people are more expressive now than they were back a while however I believe society to be more superficial now, there's more distractions of a superficial nature is what I mean, and that probably causes people to focus on the wrong things sometimes. I guess it's much easier to spend two hours scrolling on social media, I don't mean me I don't have any, than it is to spend that time in stillness and quiet self-reflection to uncover thoughts, feelings and emotions that might make a difference to life, our own or others. I prefer the latter and am fortunate to be in a relationship with a man who feels the same. <center></center> <center><sub><sub>I took this image</sub></sub></center> This morning over our usual Saturday breakfast in the garden at home that very same man reached over the table, placed his hand over mine and said the nicest things to me about how cherished I was then continued on to list why. He talked about support, the way I stand up for him and beside him no matter what but hold him accountable for his actions and thoughts. He spoke about my "tireless efforts", work ethic, drive and consistency, and the way I get on with things when they need doing. I don't want to say everything he said because it's personal and may seem immodest but will say that I was, and am, so grateful to have a man who is comfortable to express himself in these ways. It's manly, sexy and responsible. In a world full of noise, misdirection, distraction and superficiality I believe a person with the ability to be expressive, openly and honestly, is an attractive and valuable trait. We continued to chat over a second cup of coffee and talk moved away and to other things I felt so content and happy in that place and time and that the two of us seem to fit like pieces in a jigsaw - individuals that fit so well.
