The esteem App helps users access their steemit account. Users can blog and also see post from other platforms like utopian 

Proposal

There's no display of video icon. It only displays jpg as icon. 
Am proposing that video thumbnail should be used as an icon beside posts

Below image, is a photo of some of my posts that their icon were resized from my uploaded image in the posts

It is possible for the thumbnail of each video to be displayed as their icon.... 
From the below image, we can see that in the post, the thumbnail was displayed without playing

Also from the steemit official website, regardless of the post either it entails video or image, it always displays an image before the post..... 
As the case may be, the video thumbnail is also displayed bedore each post.

The developers should use this idea to display an icon beside a post which involves a video 

Benefits

Users would know that the post in particular, involves a video..... 
The post won't look 'icon-less' and thus making it professional and beautiful
