Before that, for example, in Graz it was 12.00h at noon, in Munich it was only 11.45h (approximately). Because the sun needs a little time to reach the highest position 300 km further east.
The summit of the unnatural time system is then the conversion between winter and summer time, where we do not have a peak of the sun at 12h.

## Der Wert von Sonnenuhren

Sonnenuhren sind wahrscheinlich so alt wie die Menschheit selbst. Schade, dass sie in unserer modernen Zeit so sehr in Vergessenheit geraten sind!

Sie funktionieren ohne Strom, solange nur genügend Sonnenkraft vorhanden ist. Nein, natürlich haben sie Nachts keinen Sinn, wobei ich müsste mal schauen, ob eine Vollmond Nacht genügend Licht hat um einen Schatten zu werfen.
Früher war es wohl egal, wie spät es war wenn es Nacht wurde. Ich schätze beinahe keiner unserer Vorfahren hatte Nachts Termine für die er eine Uhrzeit brauchte. Übrigens wurde eine Zeitberechnung abweichend vom tatsächlichen Stand der Sonne erst mit der Eisenbahn eingeführt.

Diese hier ist aus Schmiedeeisen und wird wohl noch viele Generationen überdauern, falls sie weiterhin wertgeschätzt und nicht eines Tages als Müll entsorgt wird. Was wirklich schade wäre und ich hoffe, dass solche Dinge eines Tages wieder den Wert erhalten, den sie verdienen.

Mit ein bisschen Übung kann man auch ohne Sonnenuhr die ungefähre Uhrzeit am Stand der Sonne ablesen.
