You know that feeling you get when you are a step closer to achieving your goals? Well, I think I am having that feeling right now, super excited with butterflies in my stomach☺️
I left the house feeling hungry but then immediately I got my new baby, I don’t feel hungry anymore. I’m sure most of you can relate to that feeling.

Last year, I needed to start my tech journey but I was facing a series of restrictions such as I had no laptop or money to pay for my tech classes and I needed to do this. I decided to do some saving but I realized that no matter how much I saved I could only pay for one and then spend 2024, trying to save more to pay for the other option. 

When I joined Hive, I had no idea how I was going to do it and how long it would take but I just needed to be consistent and stable on the blockchain. It wasn’t easy but at this point, I can say that it was worth every bit of the effort I put in. When I joined the blockchain I always get excited when I see people talk about the things Hive has done for them and the various values it has added. I couldn’t relate but then I was motivated by every story I read. 
I kept telling myself that I would also talk about something Hive has contributed to my life financially and this is me right now.

When Dreemsteem asked us to talk about our dream and our plans to achieve it, I was happy to write about it as I got to talk about my Dream of going into the tech world and starting my journey in UI/UX, I was quite skeptical if I wanted to go into coding or UI/UX but I finally weighed my options and I would be going with UI/UX. I was able to outline things that I would need to turn my dream into reality and I am very excited that I have been able to achieve one of them. 

I needed to get a laptop first which is the first stage before going into UI/UX, my friend who is into UI/UX gave me an overview of the kind of laptop I will be needing. He said I needed a Laptop with the specifications: HP 6th generation, core i5 pro, 8GB expandable to 32GB, 256SSD. I asked around and it was within the range of #200,000 - #210,000 which is approximately 180HBD.

At first, hearing the amount I thought it would take a long time to raise that from writing but thank Goodness I participated in the last Zealy campaign which helped me a lot and I was able to complete the amount and finally got my laptop. Right now I feel like if I could get this then I can also achieve every other thing I have set out to achieve. I’m super grateful to the blockchain and I must say joining this blockchain has been one of the best decisions I made in 2023.

I haven’t achieved my dream of being a woman in tech yet but I am sure I am closer to achieving it. It’s just a matter of God’s grace, time, effort, and consistency.
