According to the schedule, we're now in the second week of Polycub's existence. Just as expected, the emission rate has reduced from 5 to 4 Polycub per block. 

Due to the reduction in emission rate, the number of Polycub you receive from your airdrop will also reduce. This is the scarcity that is embedded into the code.

So, in essence, Polycub farmers are also earning fewer Polycub from the farms. Unfortunately, I'm not on any of the farms, so all I have is my airdrop that goes straight to the XPolycub contract. 

Based on the dollar value of Polycub, I might have to figure out a way to get busy with farming. I think I'll just copy my Cub/BUSD farm by getting into the Polycub/USDC farm.

I believe that the Polycub/USDC farm will not be as brutal as the Cub/BUSD farm, in terms of impermanent losses. However, as always, time will tell how it goes. 

In any case, the reduction in emission rate is indicative of the approach that Polycub will be taking in the long run. My only hope is that the price stays at this level or maybe even drops a bit more, so I can buy more Polycub. 

Since the last time I checked, the number of Polycub in existence has increased from roughly 2.17million to 2,453,243.9. Interestingly, the amount of Polycub locked up in the Xpolycub contract has dramatically risen from 760k to 962K. 

So what this means is that virtually all the Polycub that was farmed, minted or airdropped in the past three days have found their way into the XPolycub contract.

### The pump and the dumps 

Note that while the price of Polycub has dramatically dropped below $1, it might not exactly be as big a deal as many make it out to be. 

Think of it like this, right now, there is only roughly 730K Polycub in circulation if you exclude the tokens held by the protocol and the one locked up in Xpolycub. This means that it is very likely that selling a couple thousand Polycub could effectively reduce the price of the token. 

This means that the price could also easily move in the opposite direction with any decent purchase of the token. Honestly, it might not even need a whale to pump the price of the token right now. 

Also, consider the fact that the number of wallets holding Polycub has dropped from 116 addresses to 114 addresses since [the last time I checked](https://leofinance.io/@belemo/xpolycub-distribution-and-thinking-long-term), and you'll see how all it takes is one sale to dump the price. 

Also, note that out of the top Polycub holders that aren't the XPolycub contract or the one that seems like the protocol, the top holders have between 7%to 3% of the total supply of roughly 730K tokens. 


So, in essence, what I'm saying is that the current dollar valuation of Polycub might not exactly be a fair reflection of reality. So, you might want to ignore the FUD. 

As every day passes, the XPolycub ratio continues to rise. This ratio is probably going to continue rising as more people are trooping into a stake in the Xpolycub contract. 

As the emission rate continues to drop and more value is pumped into the PoL, we'll eventually get to the tipping point when the printing rate of Polycub won't be able to keep up with the earning rate of the PoL. At that point, it will literally be *up only* and there's nothing the fudders or dumpers can do about it.
