Is it time to FOMO in?
I was raised the old fashioned way and so I consider myself an old fashioned guy that embraces classic morals. Things like respecting your elders, dignity in labour and *slow money* are concepts that were grilled into me.

I've largely not deviated from the things that were taught to me and even in crypto, you'd find that my insistence on staking for long term dividend against day trading and leveraging the wicked volatility in this space is further evidence of my nature.

I've been watching the market lately and Daddy Bitcoin has been doing some mad numbers. There will be new billionaires at the end of this run and there will also be people that get rekt because of FOMO.

I don't know how to jump on a bandwagon that moving. I always feel like I've missed out on the train whenever it starts moving and I'm not on it, so I sit tight, patiently waiting for the next one. In Kaduna-Abuja railway, there's a trip every 4 hours but in crypto, that train could come back after months or even years.

Playing the waiting game, especially in times of plenty for one asset sort of stings a bit, because I keep beating myself up about how I watched this asset grow and hate my powerlessness to buy in the past.

A big reason for not being able to buy into most projects is that most of my funds are locked up in solid projects and a lot of potential. These are projects with a fairly good chance to run up to astronomical figures but just as I said, in crypto, the train doesn't come that regularly.

For some assets, like Ethereum and Bitcoin to be specific, life could never be better. Bitcoin keeps setting new ATHS while Ethereum is on its way to $1000 and God knows how high it will rise.

I'm watching the price of Ethereum in particular, and asking myself why I didn't buy when it was extremely low value. I mean, I could have literally bought a couple pieces back when it dropped to around $100 but here I am now, wondering if I should buy a fraction of the coin and then hope it runs up to an ATH.

Watching the whole thing unfold makes buying into ETH now feel like a loss, regardless of if it pumps to an ATH. Perhaps I'm dwelling on the past, while licking a self inflicted wound or maybe it is something more. Whatever the case, I'm starting to wonder if I should embrace FOMO and just act based on it sometimes.
