Okay, so things are starting to heat up in our relocation plans and it is getting to that point where I have to make tough decisions. A big part of our plans now hinges on raising funds to secure our admission spot and that's what we're going for. 

I have always found it difficult to sell my assets but as Dane never fails to remind me, the whole point of having them in the first place is to squeeze out value from them. The problem is that in some situations, like with Splinterlands assets, I'm not exactly making a profit when I sell too early. 

Right now, I need to raise funds and my Splinterlands NFTs look like they'll be the opportunity cost. To be specific, I have been mulling over my plan to sell off all my summoners and then rent them back at a much lower rate. 

### Something has to give

The way I see it, something definitely has to give and while it is a situation that I absolutely would have preferred to avoid, I have very few options. 

I have a number of Splinterlands assets but among the lot, my summoners are the best value to actually sell off. In the short term, at least, they seem to offer the best value when you consider that they all came from packs. 

My rationale behind selling summoners is pretty simple really. The way I see it, I have to sell fewer monsters to raise the funds and this makes the "accounting" much easier. 

The simple "accounting" part basically means that I'll have to do a lot fewer calculations when I want to compare my expenditure in rentals with how much I generate from ranked battles. Naturally, the target is to ensure that my earnings from the ranked play are enough to cover my rental expenditure and then some profit on top of that. 

### The target

Since I'm dealing with Naira and Pounds, it is a moving target. Naira continues to slump against Pounds in the parallel market, making it even more tedious for me. 

I know how much I have to raise in pounds, and I also know how much I have to raise in dollars but the naira part is the issue since it is in fact a shit coin. 

All things considered though, I probably just need to stack another $2000 on top of my current holding. This sum should ideally be enough because it accounts for a small margin of error due to Nigeria's Shitcoin of a currency. 

So, at the end of the day, the moral of the story is that in selling all my summoners and then renting them back. I'll rent maxed out silver level summoners initially and then use the profit I earn to slowly buy back the summoners through funds I generate from the game.
