The international group of astronomers managed to find out that on Enceladus - the satellite of Saturn - there are all necessary conditions for the birth of life.

on the satellite of the planet, scientists have recorded hydrothermal activity, which arises from the tidal friction between water and the core of the moon. This, as astronomers say, provides energy for hypothetical living organisms.

on Enceladus there is a considerable size salty ocean, however its surface is hidden by an ice crust, the thickness of which sometimes reaches two dozen kilometers. It does not penetrate the sun, that is, there is no photosynthesis.

Along with this, energy in the form of mineral substances is probably supplied by hydrothermal sources from the very bottom of the ocean. In turn, their existence requires the presence of a hot core.

After conducting the first studies, the scientists assumed that the source of heat in the bowels of the satellite is radioactive decay, although this mechanism could only work for several million years, and this would not be enough for the appearance of life.

Later, a computer model created by astronomers showed that the tidal forces that arise as a result of the satellite's movement in an elliptical orbit around Saturn warm the water inside the core of the moon. This process is also due to friction during the circulation of liquid in porous rocks.

Thus, the water temperature rises and when it reaches 90 degrees Celsius it is pushed out into the ocean at the poles of the satellite, after which it is released into space in the form of ice geysers.

Summing up the materials studied, the astronauts came to the conclusion that such a mechanism could well work for several billions of years, which makes it possible to form living organisms.
