Pork Sinigang on a Cold Raining Sunday

My brother requested for me to make a healthy soup, he is a health conscious gym buff. I also wanted something to warm my tummy because it's raining heavily since last night, it's too cold. I decided to make a soup but not so healthy. I feel lazy to cook more dishes so I decided to just have a 2 in 1 dish because it is lunch time.

We Filipinos eat a rice meal during lunch. It would be odd to just have soup and rice. So I decided to cook sinigang. It's a savoury sour Filipino pork stew. Ugh! It sounds so simple but it tastes so good, it's really more than that, I just cannot describe it.

I added more veggies to it more than I should because my brother would have them. He won't be eating the pork fat but I bet he'll be so tempted. The pork just melts in your mouth and explode with the juicy porkness flavor. I love watching him resist it. Hahaha!

This is how I want my Sunday to be like. Rainy, cold, quiet and just a wonderful day with the family, having good food. This is peace and this is living!
