The antigravity device was designed by MIT researchers that use a supercooled gas to create gravitational fields. Scientists say they have developed a new technique to create large quantities of antigravity devices that will potentially improve on or replace today's most advanced materials in spacecraft, satellites and other space programs. The invention could also be used in other areas critical to human spaceflight, such as the propulsion of lunar landers. The device is described as an effective way to produce antigravity forces on the far side of a lunar module. The device can be used to control the orbit of a manned spacecraft, for example, and to generate a small amount of antigravity around a spacecraft's orbit.
