I've been doing some many things this week that I forgot to come around here. But it's a good thing to get some rest from the blog from time to time. I went to an event for the first time in I don't remember how long. There's was a lot of music. I had the chance to get one of my Venezuelan Cuatros in hands of experienced musicians and a lot more. However, I'm here because the 3rd sale from the workshop is with its rightful owner.

Last Monday, I went to a Zoom agency in order to send this Cuatro to Caracas. It was my first time doing this and saying that I was nervous was an understatement. There were lots of cardboard involve in this process to make sure the instrument arrived in one piece. As a matter of charmed luck or something similar, the clerk was a new girl there. So we were both doing some things for the first time. It sucks that I didn't ask her for a picture, but it would've been a bit too weird.

After says of biting my nails and being so anxious I couldn't get work done, the instrument arrived in Caracas. I was so happy to see that there weren't any incidents in the tracking of the package. Then, on Friday, my friend sent me these pictures. She finally had the instrument in her hands. I went ahead and explained some things about maintenance and more details.

I bet you can tell she's happy with it. She told me she absolutely loves the color palette of the instrument. This might sound weird, but when a girl gives you compliments about colors, you are probably doing something right. My friend is starting classes this week. She isn't a stranger to music as she was part of the previous generation of the University's Choir. The same musical group where I sang for some years.

With an instrument far from home, I can't help but wonder if the sales will go up or at least I'd get asked more about them. Hopefully, both will happen. I wish her the best with her new project of learning how to play this amazing instrument. Also, I'm happy to help increase the count of women who play our national instrument. But I'm ecstatic that my little creation is in such good hands.

Setting aside this achievement for a moment. I've been thinking about ways to get more funding for the workshop. It isn't an easy thing to be a Luthier in Venezuela. That's even tougher when you are starting. So, part of my week has been a research about all these platforms that help creators have more support from people for their content. 

After a lot of thought and some planning, I've taken an interesting in creating a page for the workshop in buymeacoffee.com. I'll be making a post when it launches and a link to it will be added to every post related to my activity as a luthier. 

This brings me to another point. I've created the Instagram Profile for the workshop. You can find me as @luthier_andresalvarez. If you are an Instagram user, your support means the world to me.

Getting more visibility in social media is the best way to attract people in this kind of business. It will also help me understand how to make better content and give me more content to publish around here. It sounds like a good deal. It's also a lot of work, but good things require a lot of it.
