Hey guys,

So for those of you lucky enough to not be struck by the cruel and hurtful hand of depression, great! It's awful, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemies.

Why is it though, for those who have never felt the struggle that they feel the need to decide for others who DO struggle what they should be thinking and feeling?

In this particular instance, someone who has a friend who struggles with depression doesn't think that she should say things like "I just want to end it all."

Newsflash my non-depressed peeps, there have been many times in my life where I have had the thought "I just want to end it all." 

It happens.

It's part of depression, and severe depression if you have it bad enough.

If you are a good friend, you won't criticize your depressed friends for having these thoughts, but try to help them through the tough times.

Depression is NOT conditional. It has nothing to do with having a great family or a crap family, or having lots of money or lots of friends or support. It is a disease that tells you that you aren't good enough and the only way out is death.

Please remember this in regard to your depressed friends, and do tune in to hear what Lady Steem has to say about all this!
