 So initially we had a meeting with the caretakers of the church and had the go ahead for the educational session which would have latter on been followed by the screening exercise latter on however it turns out there was a miscalculation on their part which they fail to inform us accordingly as such due to these circumstances the session was cancelled and the screening is been rescheduled, nonetheless it would come off eventually just there are going to be adjustment to what we had inform you initially. It saddens our heart that it happened like that but then we would find ways to work around it.  For this month we are planning on extending our usual outreaches to incorporate some additional towns and villages, this is in aid of the Age Related Macular Degeneration Awareness campaign, we are hoping to reach a larger audience by so doing and to get the majority of those audience well informed about what Age Related Macular Degeneration is all about and how best to go about its treatments and the importance of preventive measures. Again we will be writing more articles on pathologies of the eye to get steemians acquainted with certain diseases and how best they can protect themselves by putting in place the necessary preventive measures.  Until then we would continue to update all our followers, backers and supporters of all activities that @bettervision undertakes and we continue to remain grateful for your love and support.  **What is @bettervision about?** @bettervision is is a project initiated by @nattybongo and friends to give back to the society the knowledge and skill acquired through the Optometric Studies in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.It is an outreach system where we visit the less privileged communities to offer free eye screening services and education to the people within the community AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To reduce or prevent vision loss through diseases such as glaucoma, cataract and refractive errors. To enlighten the majority of the Ghanaian population about the importance of proper visual care. To conscientize people on the need for regular eye checks To get more people to have their wards screened within the Critical periods of a Child’s Vision Development; thus from ages 3 to till about 10 years. To help the blind and people with low vision live a better life within the society through education of the general public to stop stigmatization.
