Promises to Ourselves: Overcoming Self-Discipline Challenges

We all make many promises in our lifetime and also break them. We are very few people who do what they say. It is often seen that people stick to their promises. Nowadays, deceiving others and returning to one's word has become very common. We all at one time or the other make a promise to someone or the other and many times we fail to keep it.


I am not saying everyone breaks promises, but most of us are like this. You may not be like that though. We talk about many things, some we even complete and some we forget about or we do not remember with time.

And many of us make many promises to ourselves like the promise of support or the promise of not eating fast food or the promise of going to the gym or the promise of giving up some bad habits and many such things. And I think that you too must have promised yourself to quit or start some of these things. Sometimes we get motivated after seeing and hearing something, sometimes for a few moments, and sometimes for a few days. And in the same enthusiasm, we promise ourselves to start many things and later go back on our own promises.

I too had talked to myself a lot at the beginning of the year and I feel very sad to say that I broke the promise I had made to myself. Or can I make money so that I can fulfill them? Perhaps there were only a few days of enthusiasm at the beginning of the year and as the year passed, that enthusiasm also cooled down.

I had talked about many things at the beginning of the new year like reading a book for a few minutes every day, doing daily exercise, and reducing my screen time, but unfortunately, I have not been able to achieve even one of them and it makes me sad to think that I Have I wasted another year of my life like this or will I testify because only a few months are left for this year to end. Someone has said a lot that learning to bring discipline in life, not motivation. Once discipline comes, everything starts happening automatically and this is also true because motivation lasts for some time, but if discipline comes into your life, then you will have more life. Lasts for full. And believe me, it makes a lot of difference. There will definitely be someone around you who is very strict in his routine and has seen him like this since his childhood. He has a fixed time for doing everything and till now it has not changed.

If you have sincerity and discipline then you can achieve anything and you can also fulfill the promises you have made. It is very difficult to do this in the initial days, but once it becomes possible to do so, then Just consider that your life is successful. Ballia sounds easy but it is not so easy. Many of us are very motivated while sleeping at night and think that we will do this tomorrow morning and go for a walk in the morning and many other things but our nature is different which is When your alarm goes off, you feel better turning it off and going to bed, but if you wake up at the same time as you were supposed to turn off the alarm, you will start noticing the difference and this is also true.

So I broke the promise I made to myself or could not keep it and I regret it a lot. If I had done what I had done since the beginning of this year till now, there is no doubt that there would have been some change in me. But now nothing can be done but one thing can definitely happen that now I will try to follow it, even if I cannot complete it this year I will definitely complete it next year, I have decided to rest let's see further. what happens.
