**Steemit is growing in popularity**

It seems Steemit is moving up in the world with Alexa traffic ranking putting it at just over 2,100 globally and 1,458 just in the US.

It's been on big upward rise for the last 4 months and has seen massive growth in both traffic and user base. unfortunately at the moment  steemd.com/distribution is " down for maintenance" but it seems to of been down for a little while now.

To put it in perspective, Facebook is currently in 3rd place both in the U.S and worldwide for traffic and twitter is 8th and 13th respectively.

I guess this means Steemit still has a ways to go but given its up over 3,000 places in just 3 months and how new it is in comparison to other popular blogging and social media platforms, I personally feel it is performing extremely well.

I stumbled across Steemit completely by accident while scrolling through youtube videos and i believe it may of been one of @jerrybanfield videos that got me here.

**Like a steam-train** 

Steemit is moving upward and onward and its increasing visibility to users of other similar sites, thanks to some of the big names here is one of the driving forces. If we all keep rewarding good content and putting in work i have no doubt we can make the top 100 within 12 months.

**Steem itself is rising**

There is also the fact Steem as a crypto has been rising steadily recently after the downward turn almost every crypto experienced after the whole china debacle.

While it hasn't been able to fully break through and past its previous high we don't want large spikes and volatility. 
*a steady rise is what we're aiming for* 
If Steemit and Steem can continue to grow at a sustainable pace then everyone that's invested their time and effort here can be greatly rewarded.

It helps that Steemit is so much more rewarding for those that actually put in work and create good content where places like Facebook twitter Reddit etc fail in that aspect.


**If we promote Steemit we can all profit off its success**
So tell your friends, tell your family, tell your colleagues and tell your social media mates. Lets get this big 'ol Steem engine running hot and at full power.
