 Hello everyone on a cold Sunday, Recently I went to the bazaar with my friend to run errands. Just as we were about to return home, we decided to visit Karaman's first municipality building, which was opened to visitors with my friend's offer. This building, which was covered with stones, was closed for use after functioning as a municipality building for a certain period of time and the building was moved to another place. Now it is used to promote Karaman. By visiting the inside of this building, you have the chance to get a lot of preliminary information about the cultural structure of the city, historical buildings, famous people raised by the city. *Soğuk bir pazar gününden herkese merhaba, Geçenlerde işlerimi halletmek için arkadaşımla birlikte çarşıya gitmiştim. Kısa bir süre sonra işlerimizi hallettik. Tam eve dönecekken arkadaşımın teklifi ile ziyarete açılan Karaman'ın ilk belediye binasını ziyaret etmeye karar verdik. Dışı taşlarla kaplı olan bu bina belli bir süre belediye binası olarak işlev gördükten sonra kullanıma kapatılmış ve bina başka bir yere taşınmış. Şu an ise Karaman'ı tanıtmak için kullanılıyor. Bu binanın içini gezerek, şehrin kültürel yapısı, tarihi yapılar, şehrin yetiştirdiği ünlü insanlara kadar birçok ön bilgi elde etme şansına sahip oluyorsunuz.*     After entering the building, wooden stairs accompany you until you reach the top floor. After going upstairs, I was first attracted by the wax sculptures. The first wax statue belongs to Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey. He declared Turkish as the official language with the edict he issued. Therefore, Karaman is known as the capital of the Turkish language. The other point that managed to attract my attention is the beautiful wall decorations. Each one is prepared with a different care and harmony. *Binanın içerisine girdikten sonra üst kata çıkıncaya kadar ahşap merdivenler sizlere eşlik ediyor. Üst kata çıktıktan sonra öncelikle dikkatimi bal mumu heykelleri çekti. İlk bal mumu heykeli Karamanoğlu Mehmet beye ait. Yayınlandığı fermanla Türkçe'yi resmi dil ilan etti. Dolayısıyla Karaman, Türk dilinin başkenti olarak bilinir. Dikkatimi çekmeyi başaran diğer nokta ise birbirinden güzel duvar süslemeleri. Her biri ayrı bir özenle, ahenkle hazırlanmış.*    There is a video prepared for visitors in one of the rooms. When you watch the video, you have the opportunity to get to know Karaman in general terms. In another room, you can see the map of Karamanoğlu principality. Everything is shown in detail on the map. In the third picture, you see the statue of Kazım Karabekir, an important figure for Turkish history. I have seen it before in history books etc. but none of them were this exciting. Üçüncü resimde ise Türk tarihi için önemli biri olan Kazım Karabekir'in heykelini görüyorsunuz. Daha önce tarih kitaplarında vs. gördüm ancak hiçbiri bu kadar heyecanlı değildi. Kendimi sanki 18. Yüzyılda yaşıyormuş gibi hissettim.*     As it is written on the wall, it was "Piri Reis" who made the first map of the world. To be honest, seeing his wax statue was quite exciting for me. I think the reason for this excitement is that I am standing next to these valuable people (statues) who have written their names in history and made efforts for humanity. Piri Reis is not from Karaman, as far as I know. However, he is identified with Karaman. Piri Reis' name is given to many places. Street, school, dormitory, garden etc. Another important figure is Yunus Emre. According to a rumor, it is said that he was born in Karaman and lived here for a certain period of time. What I know about Yunus Emre is that he has an important position in the field of literature. In other photos, Mevlana and Mrs. Mumine come to the forefront. *Duvarda da yazdığı üzere, dünyanın ilk haritasını yapan kişi "Piri Reis"tir. Onun balmumu heykelini görmek de açıkçası beni bayağı heyecanlandırdı. Bu heyecanımın nedeni ise sanırım, tarihe adını yazdırmış ve insanlık için çaba sarf etmiş bu değerli insanların(heykellerin) yanında bulunmam. Piri Reis bildiğim kararıyla Karamanlı değil. Ancak Karaman'la özdeşmiş durumda. Piri Reis'in ismi birçok yere verilmiş. Cadde, okul, yurt, bahçe vs. Bir diğer önemli şahsiyet ise Yunus Emre. Bir rivayete göre Karaman'da doğduğu ve belli bir süre burada yaşam sürdüğü söyleniyor. Yunus Emre hakkında benim bildiğim şey, Edebiyat alanında önemli bir konumda olması.
