It is a beautiful Saturday here with a heavy downpour of rainfall, the weather is so cold and I like it so much, I have been indoor and I decided to do something creative with my time. Today in this lovely community @diyhub, I will be sharing with you the step by step process of cutting and sewing this simple phone pouch using two different pieces of left over fabrics.

I thought of making something different from what I usually make, for this pouch, it will have two different colors of fabric for the front and back, the inner will also look same as the outer look as well, it can either be turned to the front or back, depending on the side you prefer.

# Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process

I cut out two pieces of 11 x 8" from two different fabrics with interfacing ironed on both fabrics

Each was folded and cut in two at the center to have 2 pieces each

![IMG_20250517_130556_122.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/bimpcy/23tvXZrL3vCgjRrLrRd92fdLAMDsN6qS7ZRbtFbN3LVpzcNQ1pctWED5pBKCZzXnR3FoF.jpg)

I placed a zipper of 8" on one of the fabric while the same color of the other was placed on it to serve as the lining and it was sewn together, the same was repeated on the other side of the lining as well.

Both were flip to the other side with lining to lining and main fabric to main fabric before it was top stitched on both sides of the zipper

I cut out a long piece of 12 x 2" it was folded to the middle and sewn together on both sides for the handle

I placed the handle on one side of the main fabric while I folded the two that serves as lining together and the other two that serves as the main fabric together as well and it was sewn round leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out.

The edges and excess were trimmed off and it was turned inside out.

The other part for the lining was put back inside the main fabric and I have my simple double color pouch ready.
