# Hello everyone  I bring you all greetings on this beautiful day, I hope you are all having a great time while preparing for the Easter celebration ahead. I will be sharing with you today from my sewing room how I replaced a worn out zipper with a new one on my sister's gown outfit and the challenges I faced when fixing the zipper.  I went to visit my sister last weekend and after discussing for awhile, she brought out this outfit she had abandoned for awhile now because the zipper had worn out and she would like to replace it with a new one, I had expected her to bring out something for me to work on because anytime I visit, there is always one thing or the other I will have to sew for her, thank God this time, it's just a replacement of a zipper, so I thought. When I got home, I had to rip off the old and worn out zipper for me to replace it with a new one which I did.  I went ahead to buy a new zipper to replace the old one on the outfit.  The zipper and the outfit were taken to the sewing machine to me sewn but to my surprise, my sewing machine could not sew the fabric, the needle was not connecting to the thread under, there by not sewing the zipper to the fabric. First, I had to try using candle on the fabric but that didn't work, it was so frustrating, you can imagine just trying to sew a zipper and you had to stress that much, then I had to try another method which works perfectly, I cut out small pieces of paper, placed it on the zipper and I started sewing. That was how I was able to overcome the challenges in sewing this zipper and after sewing, I removed all the paper and it was perfectly done.  My sister can wear her outfit now that the zipper is been replaced and it's looking so nice.  # Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement.
