We have gotten to a stage in this world where people now cheat. Some women are already having two husbands and it’s shocking. Some men have more than five wives and many times, I wonder how they want to satisfy each of their children. 

Then, I feel like these people who engage in this do not read their Bible because if they do, they will know the repercussion of what they are doing. If they really read the Bible, they will know that God didn’t allow David or Solomon to marry more wives or more than one wife. 

The fact that they were able to do it doesn’t mean that God allowed it. It just meant that God has given humans the freewill to do whatever they want to do but let’s know that everything we do will surely have its repercussion.

In the Bible, it was stated somewhere that David lost his child and it was clearly written that it was as a result of his fornication. If such can happen to David who God loved very much and was a King in his lifetime, what do you think will happen to you? For King Solomon, he also got hated by God. When it comes to fornication, the two of them are the biggest scapegoats that the Bible has ever portrayed or shown to us. 

1 Kings 11:3 says; *And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.*

Come to think of it. How will someone have an encounter with this number of women? That’s a lot. God doesn’t even want you to get married to two women not to talk of hundreds of them. 

God is not in support of polygamy and we should try as much as possible to be guided by the Holy Spirit so we do not become a scapegoat as well.
