.jpg) <h1>Splinterlands P2E (Nodes, Vouchers and SPS)</h1> Today was a pretty big day for [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) a play to earn, play to own NFT game on the Hive blockchain. It was the launch of Validator Node Licenses which should give us a good idea at how much demand and wealth there still is for the game during what is one of the most price oppressing times in crypto. ### What Is A Validator Node License A Validator node license is what you will need if you want to launch your own node to support Splinterlands as it moves towards becoming more decentralized. It's a system where nodes will be voted on to process transactions and secure the game. Having a license means when you run a node yourself you will be entitled to some rewards in the form of SPS and Vouchers for running it. ### What Is The Price and How Many Are There? In total there at 60,000 Licenses available but not all of them have to sell out. They start at $1,000 worth of SPS and 500 vouchers. After that the price climbs to $3,000 of SPS value but can still be off set with $3 vouchers of 500. At the time of writing this the first 2,000 nodes sold out in under 15 minutes. (or as best as I could track it) We are currently on Tranche 1 which is a total of 3,000 of which at the time of writing this 240 of those have sold. 80% of the SPS tokens and 100% of the voucher tokens spent on node licenses will be burned. YEP YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT BURNED! The other 20% of SPS tokens will be put into the SPS foundation and reserved specifically for incentive to run nodes after 5 years. Some really rough math on that... 2,000 nodes sold out for sure at the price tag of $1,000 + 500 vouchers. That means... 1,000,000 Vouchers have been burned. That also means that roughly at the value of say $0.10 per SPS and a total cost of $2,000,000 that 16 Million SPS was just burned never to see the light of day again. Another 4 million is locked up to 5 years which will be incentive for nodes to run after the 5 years. That's a pretty sizeable junk of SPS to be removed from the 3 billion that will be minted in total before it's done (however we are FAR away from that) In fact just 762 million currently exist (It's unknown by me if that number represents the 16 million that was just burned or not) *PRO TIP* If you are looking to buy a node yourself you can actully pick it up for less $ value by buying vouchers if they are under $3 each currently. That's because you can us 500 vouchers to offset half the cost of the node. At the time of writing this Vouchers are valued at only $1.79 each Let's say the price jumps a bit in order to buy enough of them at $2 each total. That would still make buying a $3,000 validator node license only cost you $2,500 a savings of $500 by using vouchers you bought from the market. That's pretty freakin nutz! SPS I also feel is still greatly under valued. Personally I think it's a little nutz to buy a node with current SPS prices at $0.10 - $0.11 but that only means more are burned compared to if the price was up. With just 62 days left in the air drop (a little over 2 months) the reduction in the amount of SPS that is going to be going out on the system in liquid form is going to dry up by a lot! Many of the original aspects from the whitepaper SPS release are not in effect yet and wont be for some time. You are here... Just two months away from the curve. The first curve hit with the private sale payout being done. But come 2 months everything is going to take a curve and not only that many aspects are not going to be released yet. Let's take a look at that chart. **All attempts at making these numbers have been taken however there of course are going to be errors and unknowns. Do your own research before investing. This article is for entertainment purposes only.* Out of this list we are removing - Airdrop 400 million SPS - Private Sale 200 million SPS That's 600 Million SPS that will be done and wont be injected into the platform anymore. That's roughly 55% of the current amount of SPS there is. That leaves Foundation / DAO (active) for 300 million total or what will be left 244.6 million a month. This comprises of > [https://sps.splinterlands.com/funds] (https://sps.splinterlands.com/funds) Liquidity Services Third party Developments Staking Investing Play2Earn Rewards (semi active) 900,000,000 Tokens Ranked Battles (Still not active) 7.5 million a month SPS Staking Rewards (active) 7.5 million a month LP Incentives (active) I've seen this a bit but it feels only semi active Land Expansion (not active) 6.25 million/month SPS Validator Node Rewards (not active) 3.75 million/month Tournament Prices (active) 2.5 million/month (I think this is active) Guild Brawls (not active) 2.5 million/month That means by the end of this airdrop in 2 months we will already be in 1/3 the way to the total amount of SPS there will ever be. Airdrop 13.33% Private Sale 6.66% will be completed while the others have portions cut out. The airdrop was 33.3 million SPS per month dropped which will STOP. It will only be replaced by maybe Ranked Battles 7.5 million Guild Brawls 2.5 million the rest are either currently already running so I'm not counting them or are not yet running and wont be for some time such as Land Expansion and Node Rewards. As stated before there are some unknowns such as how much of the LP pools are being used. But overall a good junk of SPS will have been minted and I feel we will soon feel a big shock on a shrinking reduction of SPS including the burning of it that is currently happening while prices in my opinion are crazy low! I feel Q3 but mainly Q4 and the start of 2023 are going to be crazy for the splinterlands game as new packs, burning, nodes kick online, voting, land and so forth all start to take shape and be launched. We are moving into what I feel will be one very hyped up period for this game. Posted Using [LeoFinance Beta](https://leofinance.io/@bitcoinflood/splinterlands-p2e-nodes-vouchers-and-sps)
